Made in South Aussie ..the slant 6 was all the go in stock cars ...we grew up with an AP 5 push button auto ..great cars for their time .![]()
Yah that 265 Hemi in the last Charger was pretty much the same stonk as the V8 and lighter .... that was a fast big car but pretty good to drive , I remember the 340 was a farken huge engine , serious large
A mates old man had a pretty late model Valbury Regal - one of the last of prods from a dealership floor , this thing was pretty Luxe , full leather , radio cassette , under the dash air , chrome everything ( Bulletti Overhead Hipster Compartments were years away , not yet a wad of sprog in a pair of Generation W's grundies even!!!!) had the push button auto on the floor , plastic still on the doors , 340 was a cracker this thing flew , executive jet
My old man blew the gearbox in his Valiant st wgn in about '81. He parked it out on the front lawn & let us kids play in it. Engine was still fine so for a few days we could start it up, rev the engine & pretend we were driving. Once the the petrol was all gone, he stripped it & sold it for parts before getting rid of the shell...was great fun while it lasted ![]()
haha,Mick,I had a similar thing.Used to go to my mates grandmothers place as a kid, they had an old FC Holden station wagon in the driveway at the back,we used to pretend to drive it to![]()
