What a shame SF 1 is so slow. Poor old Winki - maybe Simondo is out at Bells now showing them how to do it on his longboard

If he was honest with himself it was his poor judgement and lack of performance. He needed a big score but did not let loose. He went to the air but did not really do anything incredible. He needs to work on his air game - even though he is unreal at them - he lacks variety. Yes his airs are great - but they are not good enough compared to what others are doing these days. The judges, it appears from previous comps this season, are wanting a lot more than his efforts in the semi.

i decent wave and it will be a Taj victory - a seven is easy for him in these conditions

Too deep - he may have just blown it !

He blew it - well done to MF. Looks like a very even title race now with the numbers. Should be a great season ahead.

As said by old mate in the water, in selling the candy to Mick to try and get priority he was too deep on the next wave.

Doubt Taj will ever beat Mick in a paddle battle ha ha.

At least it was a win for Oz!

Bad form by JW standing over the beach announcers and having a go at them after the heat IMO...

I thought it was a really well surfed event with great waves in the end. Very enjoyable way to spend a day at work

The issue with Sallies surfing is her often over use of arms held high when performing a top turn, seems there is more arm action than board movement. It can fool many but it dose not work for me.Check out a clip and you'll get what I'm saying.

Dead right Ash but like Greg Inglis case Qlders get easily geographically disoriented if they think they can claim some blues talent as their own

Especially given the grace that Jordy handled himself with after his very very narrow loss to JW earlier on. Most were saying JW was a bit lucky - you need to take the good with the bad when its subjective.

Interviewer said it was something about how they announced the scores for him leading up to that final wave he caught.

There's a pretty big difference in payouts and points not to mention going into the final with a chance to ring the bell so I can see why one might feel hard done by - but it's not a good reflection on him and if I was a brand manager for his sponsor(s) I'd be less than pleased, but I'm not so I'll shake my head at it.

^^ supposedly they called his second wave of the ones close together as the first and told him he got a 6, when he scored an 8. He was thinking what do I have to do to get the score, so the announcers ****ed up but Joycie looked like a crying little bitch.

Did anyone see Tyler Wright hit the rocks? Looked pretty nasty, she did well to surf on.
