I used to love the AFL Simondo but after the bull**** of the last 26 months I am over it. Sorry. It used to be a good game but its fair to say their are too many plonkers involved for my liking. Go The Pies

Too many knock ons for my liking.

Eagles boy here too. Unfortunately I don't share the same optimism but you never know. Darling was a big loss. Macca bigger.
Am I seeing things or did Sydney just get a point for hitting the goal post ? Just to emphasise the ball did not go between any posts. It just rebounded off the post and back into field of play. I am aware that a point is gained for missing between the middle 2 posts but surely I've got it wrong.

Did anybody else find the commentators painful when they repeatedly mentioned how tired Essendon were and making excuses ?

So what did we learn from Round One?
Geelong are finished?
Are Freo overrated? Is Port as good as everyone reckons?
Hawthorn? Steady as she goes?
Carlton? Yet another mediocre season.
And Collingwood...how long until Eddue sacks his love child? They have been going backwards every year Buckley has been there. At least Mick is keeping that rubbish that is Carltons list thereabouts.

I have had Reece Conca at my house. His girlfriend used to live up the road and her and her sister live our kids. Anyway my wife introduced Reece to the 7 year old, "This is Reece. The Suns have sat down 4 players for drinking the day after last weeks win,which I think was their first win.
Who is punished,the rest of the playing group,the fans,the club,the sponsors.
I think they should punish these players in other ways and punish them hard if need be.
My boss tipped the Cats and I told him he was in lala land. But, after last night, what do I know? The Cats were very impressive. Although, yet again, the slowed in the second half. Doesn't matter if you have ten goal leads though I guess.
Drip, we didn't really slow down in the 2nd half, more than anything else, The Pies mounted a strong come back, and added pressure all over the ground. They forced the Cats to make rushed decisions, which forced quite a few turn overs... Hawkins was well held by Brown, after they switched defenders. We got there in the end... Pies are in pretty good form too, so it was an excellent win for The Cats!
Mac, yeah, I agree... I think a small Financial Sanction, like a charity donation, and extra duties at the club, like cleaning, and painting. And Community Service... Make them change sheets for a day, at a hotel... Lawn mowing / landscaping at Board Members houses... So many better options!
