A couple of questions for the speeeed freaks.

1. Did the speeed come in a 10'6 size? I had a look on the web site and the biggest I could see was 10'. There is one for sale that the add says it's 10'6, which leads me to my next question.
2. Would the speeed at 10' or over make a good small "roller" or point break board like a long board or mal type sup?

I'm only 83kg wet and was after a small wave fun board that would pick up small waves early and easily with a bit or turn to it as well. Doesn't have to be high performance but at least manageable on a wave. It doesn't mention the width of the thing but it comes with bag, paddle, trolley and looks and says its in excellent condition.

If you're looking at the one I'm seeing online, I think it's a Sunova Style ( or the 'Surf'... but it looks like a 'Style'...). I had the 10 footer years ago and should've kept it. Excellent longboard style SUP.

Yep - hundred per cent Greeney.
Same with me. Had a Style (10'6) and sold it - I'm still spewing.
Geez they're nice boards eh.

Hey guys, I think your right. The add doesn't say what it is and I just assumed it was a speeed because of the nose shape that makes it look very speeedish and it doesn't show the tail very well. So I had a look on the Sunova web site and bingo, it must be a style!

I'll ask to confirm and whether its the XL or the standard.

Another question though to do with the lift handle, can you still carry it to the water like a normal 'slot' type handle or is it an awkward carry?

I reckon the lift handle's real good. I like both styles and have boards with ledge and lift handles.
I actually prefer the lift handle when I'm out in rough, chop with a bit of size and I'm in the water a lot of the time. I find it easier to get myself back on the board when I'm getting smashed with the lift handle - and where I am, I don't like spending too much time in the water with the biting animals around. Style's are sick boards Bob.

I agree. You learn to love the lift handle in and out of the water. Great for the carry. If that Style is in good nick, Bobajob, I say buy it ... swoop on that thing like a nozza on a pale ale.

Thumbs up for the LiftSUP handle from me too. Took a while to get used to it but love it now. Plus, if you need to store your board somewhere less secure (roof racks, shared garages in apartment blocks - like myself, and no other options to store - etc.) it gives you an extra option to loop a locking (plastic-covered) cable through the handle as another line of defence against grubs who might steal it. Yep, they could cut through the handle pretty easy, but any extra time taken to do it might make the difference!

Where have all the SPEEEDS gone? Well, I found one!
I have only ever seen a couple here by me. I think a SPEEED was actually rhe first Sunova board I ever saw in person. Thought it looked amazing and have wanted one ever since. An 8.10 finally came up used nearby and I just picked it up. Haven't even had it in the water yet. Hoping it isn't too much of a challenge for my size and skill level. I'm about 6'2" & 90-95 kg. Lower side of intermediate skill. I'm really looking forward to getting out there with it.
