Stunning.
I've kicked myself several times for not grabbing the 12' last year when I had my hands on one.
Beautiful board mate.
(Edit - needed to bring these over the page)
Just in from Tino - the finished board.
And "WOW" doesn't cover it.

Thanks again to Andrew A., Tino, Dylan, and I guess Bert too.
Best board buying experience ever, and I haven't even got the board yet.
Yep that's a keeper.
You are right about the hexatractaction I have used versa traction on wooden boards and it is hard. Good grip though.
maybe a minimal deck pad where you stand most of the time and hexa where you only occasionally stand.
I have used cork as well but don't think it will look right on this board.
Don't wax it, just fall off it a lot.
That may give me an excuse for my ineptitude.....
OMG........do you have a wall big enough! Work of art......stunning.
Bob
This one will be used.
A lot - I have a lot of learning and practising to do.
But direct quote from Tino....
"The board will be an eye catcher. And hey maybe we need to make you another one for the wall!!! "
You're gonna need a bigger bed ![]()

Or live in a board bag on the beach...
Here's another Bert special vid. Love these vids.
OK, unashamed bump because Gboots non working video is giving me the sh1ts after 13 hours.
Maybe you should look at what you just tried to post, not long after you tried to post it, and see if it needs fixing.
Deleted line that may be considered "not helpful " by forum moderators.
Here's an un related picture of a Bentley Continental GT3, that may have done quite well in the Bathurst 12 hour if Chaz The Spaz (thanks for the name Talken Tony) hadn't taken it out.
That may be the coolest car ever built, just by the way.
OK - in lieu of Gboots' failed video post, here's some more Search footage. This time of Marty Cole, Australia's unofficial Ten Foot Plus national champion:
Back on track, board is on the way I hope.
Watching Casso's videos, apart from our diametrically opposed surfing ability, the stand out thing I noticed is how far in to surf stance, i.e. fully sideways he is before the wave arrives.
After examining Gopro footage of myself after Merimbula last year, with the camera on the back of the board, it was really obvious I never get fully side on. Or even nearly side on. Or even a bit side on. Ever.
My excuse is I get limited opportunities in the surf, but after watching Casso I thought, comma, break, " If I don't know how to paddle side on in the flat, or at all, how can I expect to miraculously do it in the surf" Question mark. ?.
So for the last week I've tried standing side on.
It's really hard. And your feet hurt like a beginner. And you feel like a total kook.
Or a show off / dork "What is he doing out there in 2 feet of water ?"
"He just fell off backwards for no reason"

As if anyone is actually watching.
Or even notices you are there.
Paddling on the backhand is awkward.
And my right hip hurts after not very long.

And that's not side on.

That is, sort of.
But after a week or so, I can stay side on, shuffle up and down the board.
A bit.
Noseride!!!

Gboots, please post another non working video to divert attention from me.
Casso, I am watching you.........

Ahhh, you put up another video so I didn't need to shame myself!
But still, side on , bold, underline, italic.
Waiting for delivery, and unashamedly trying to bump this up.
What could I find if I did a Search on the Search.
This

Read through and the only criticism.
"Lows
- Production version only comes as a single fin."
Casso, I fixed it for you.
No more lows!
Waiting.......
What fins would you recommend?
If we are doing 14' stuff here too:
Fantastic video Casso. One of the best I have seen. Your footwork is amazing and there are a lot of lessons that can be learnt .
When paddling onto a wave where are you standing in relation to the handle ? Also are you in hybrid / full / non surf stance ?

When paddling into a wave, I'll be in full surf stance and my front foot would probably be just behind the handle on the 14 footer (or just in front on the 12 footer). I'll shuffle back as soon as I feel some momentum from the wave.

Casso, preferred fins on the 12', given I've got the sides option?

I'd stick with whatever Tino gives you. It'll probably come with a decent sized dolphin fin and a couple of small or medium sized thruster fins on the sides that will compliment the big single nicely. Little longboard side bites or small rear quads might not be enough unless it's a really big single.

"a really big single"...Nozza has a few of those...in various colour ways...

Way too generous with that call Casso!
That vid was my first time surfing it. Quite a handful till you get your foot placement then endless joy. So fun. Fell in love with it at Merimbula on those microwaves we had last year. Plenty of glide.

You mean like this?

Alkali 11.5" Dues Special

Nah, the colour clash would never do..
10" Hull Flex?

And since you ask, yes I do have fin stands.
And I can keep going with fins as long as you want.......
I can't wait any longer.... !
Has the damn thing arrived yet ![]()
Not yet.
You can't wait any longer?
How do you think I feel?
Waiting to hear from AA.........................
I left mine home while I went walk-about.
Thought I needed the space for my mattress.......... I didn't.
Waves and paddle spots where I settled, are perfect for my 14' Search...... and it's 1,500 miles away. ![]()
I will live through Nooza ![]()
