Speaking of cyclones, how was it in your neck of the woods ?

Hi guys well the Kanga finally turned up ,it looks amazing in the flesh ,such a nice job and so light compared to my 8.7 SPX and 8'8 flow ,as it run in at 7,2 kgs ,
flow 8,5 SPX simular ,I recommend the TR3 as they just seem so much lighter and still amazingly strong .
Well I took the kanga out in not so good surf but had to do it ,cross shore but the occasional 4 foot clean wave ,it felt quite tippy paddling out as the rounded rails made it feel loose ,I felt I needed bigger fins ,it does tip but it does return as the 130 litres makes it a nice volume for its 8'9 length ,it did feel long and thin at 30.7/8 put paddled quite good ,it was amazing paddling through the surf water just passed over it ,first wave a little bit a wind chop but it felt really comfortable and easy to surf ,I hit the white wash crumble at speed it popped out no problem ,it made me think I was on my older 8'7 flow ,which felt long and thin and very directional .I did look down a few times and my foot was not on the rear pad but it still surfed ok there ,it has a amazingly flat deck and it made it easy to walk up and down ,over all it was easy to surf and yes it is aimed at older surfers who want to either cruise or pull the odd snap back ,it did fell similar to the placid ,smooth and no catch on the rails ,it is my first surf on it so need to try more moves on it but I did get a few lip bashes and the rounded pin was nice to go back to ,it definitely is not a full on shredder like the 8'8 flow or 8'7 SPX my other boards
I will give another report after a few more surfs on it ,I am changing the fins as I feel I need stiffer fins to give it a bit more go .
if I'd have to say something about it, it rides and feels more like a little performance longboard ,wide nose .thin rear .
Woohoo Tardy,
Looks fantastic. Now for some video's in the water.
will do mate ,but wait for a off shore day
gonna mess around with fins get it tuned in ,
