I probably left too much deck pad on the nose area ,but it is handy when climbing back on ,and if I cut it I would of throw it away ,but it was a chore to line up ,but ready to go now ,8'8 flow vs 8'7 SPX .
a lot more float than the flow ,very pronounced double concaves in the tail ,so I reckon it's gonna be fast
strong on shore winds today ,but will paddle around in the lagoon .

Beautiful board Tardy, that's my ritual,as well a flat water paddle first,I find it calms the new board froth a bit ,and you can still learn from it ..stay safe

Nice looking board, its hard to see the Double concave, is it in the tail area after the single concave through the middle?

IT starts where generation is written on the board and comes right through the tail ,inside the fins .

deck has flat areas for standing and round for water run off only on the sides ,some real cool angles on it ,
nothing is straight forward ever part of the board it has something happening ,its pretty cool tail has a fair bit of volume
so the tail will not sink like the flow ,so I can stand further back on the board I would say ,
talk later after Ive surfed it ,2 days then back off shore .The fins seem quite forward ,might have to run a knubster ,see how it slides .

OH Forgot to say cutting the handle part of the deck was the best part ,stuck the stanley knife in ,and followed the shape . I know I'm simple ,

Looking at the forecast I should get the SPX on the water Friday. @Tardy what are you thinking fins wise, at the moment I have a thruster set of Quobbers in but have quads on standby ????

Hi PHIL I got these quads on ,maybe I should of got bigger rears as I took it for a paddle in small on shore crap today and it was way loose jumping around like a cat on acid ,I'm gonna wack a knubster in to straighten this wild cat out ,but it feels really short to paddle ,it still challenged me ,I will report back when I get it in some real waves ,but as you can see I got XL sides with a rear thruster as back up ,I had a look today and it has a huge concave through the board compared to the flow which it quite flat bottom ,this thing is gonna be zippy I know it .

DUDE... it looks awesome! You are dialing in the quiver

I think you will be fine with those smaller back quads on an 8'7.... heck, I'm running baby back quads in my BIG Ghost at 9'6 x 34 and it is solid with the only a little slippage when coming off the whitewater on a roundhouse.
With your strong back foot surfing, the smaller rears should be good up to OH.

Get some waves and show it off

I recon that set up will be fine. Im running my old 8'11 SP25 as a thruster at the mo with large Quobbas. I have used it as a quad with large quobbas front and the mediums in the rear and it was OK. I just found with the 8'11 being such a big board with 150lt I needed more drive so went back to a thruster set up. the flow I have set up as a quad with quobbas front and rear and that seems awesoem for me.....

i had the SP25 out in atrocious howling crossshore winds the other day and the board was rock solid. I didnt fall once and managed a few nice waves. Funnily enough I love going left (backhand) on this board
