Question for Mr Foil Drive Piros. With the trench board have you changed from the 15cm to 20cm motor length? I notice you may have changed masts, is this because you are using the new motor as well and if so what is your impression.
I have ordered an Amos RTS as I am familiar with the board already and have a No Limitz integrated mast at 15cms. Just wondering if I need to make a few changes once I get the new board.
No I stayed at 15cm you can actually go even closer with the trench cleaner water for the prop . My intergrated mast is getting the HP motor fitted that's why I changed mast for now. I tried to get it closer at 12cm but can't be moved . Most of the other team riders have all gone to 12cm now .

Great Song Piros. What a Memory, I had an affaire with Leslie Knauer from the Promises "Twin- Sister" in the 90's you should see her body "Yes Please Mr Wizard"

I'm almost 3yrs on Gen 1 and have loved every minute. I didn't trade to Gen 2 as I didn't feel the price justified the perceived performance benefits for me personally. I'm relatively light at 73kg and can get my 4'8 prone board going with an 800cm2 foil. I ride with several friends on Gen 2s who last a little longer than me on their Max battery compared to my Assist+ battery but I have 3 and charge 1 in the van whilst riding on the other 2. I see the Flite innovations but I hybrid foil taxi back to the lineup so the flite jet wouldn't interest me.
The only thing I'd pay good money for is longer run time without adding significant weight.
Like to hear what people think will happen in the next few years with new iterations and innovations based on FD.

I was in a similar position prior to getting on the Gen 2, loved my Plus. The biggest change for me was the ability to ride smaller foils. I'm a bit heavier at 81kgs, the Spitfire 1100 was my regular ride. Now on the Gen 2 I'm on the Fireball 1070, an awesome wing for upwind/downwind.
This just wouldn't be possible on the Plus, not enough power to get going without wave assistance. It's really opened up that I can do on Foildrive and my sessions are hugely enjoyable. Yes I also love the longer runtime, up from around 25-30 mins to in excess of 40 mins on the standard max power battery depending on wind strength.
I was concerned about the extra weight of the Gen 2 but actually this turned out not to be an issue at all.

For me- gen 2 created as many problems that it solved for gen 1 . I love FD and their customer support is amazing.
My question was where do we think the next major update will be or competitor. Lots of retro fit design to overcome slight flaws. Flite look like the only new competition?
The is the latest proto type out of the DC factory " The Slim Trench " It's a shallower trench so the board can be made thinner to get back closer to the prone foil board design . It worked incredibly well. Concept design credit Paul Cooper Foils .
Piros, there may well be a good reason why not. ..?? But rather than have the big gap at the front of the trench could the unit not just spin around so the battery is facing the back. The nose cone (now would be the rear cone) could slide off the back of the board.

do you know if existing integrated mast owners will be able to upgrade to hp motors?
Yes it is happening , they did mine as a test but the are also refining the pod to make it even more efficient . Just takes time the refine the R&D but it will happen. ![]()
