Had a quick wing on a 1075, very smooth, balanced, and stable with a better top end than the standard rs. Great ventilation performance as is standard with modern gofoils. I rode it with 14 short but it's probably better matched with 12.5LI felt these are more tuned for faster, and harder but more drawn out maneuvers like you're on rails. Takeoff liked a bit of an "Ollie", stall speed was nice and low with a gentle drop. I feel the current RS 1000/1150/1300 is more reactive with snappier turning. I also feel the current RS has more "float/drive" on the low end for its size. Still, no Gofoil wing matches the pnl185 for efficiency, would be sweet to see a smaller one.
I think if you're a winger that rides Gofoil the 1075 is probably a buy. I can see intermediate and advanced riders pushing their limits with the stability and gentle characteristics combined with increased speed. Excited to try the 850!

Okay Dokay people. RS 850: 93cm span x 12 chord & 1075 is 91.5 x 15

iv used the 1075 here in Maui and it's epic. Faster on the pumping out by about 3-4 km/h than my 1150. Turns like a GT1050 has a real rail to rail feel about it. I'll ride my new 850 in the morning.
availability, iv got a bunch to bring back 1075 is more readily available than 850 as they have been pre sold for a long time. If you would like a 1075 please message me. Limited stock until container arrives.

So around AR10.2 and AR7.8
They both Look real good. I just don't think I'd need my RS1000 and RS1150 if I bought them. I'm Not ready to part with them quite yet. Hopefully these new foils have that familiar RS feel and slow stall speeds. Bring 'em out West in December and give us a demo. I'm also Keen to know how they compare to the other benchmark small foils of Lift120, CAB H800 and ART899. The new Vision impaired sizing on the foil should help when you forget your glasses at the beach

Skeptical, not seeing anyone in this foiling destination using ML that couldn't do just as well or better on any of the latest gear. Many ML users here appear to have more $ than skill.

He and many people have pointed out, ML might be the fastest foil available, but plenty of people can't ride them who own them. These people are often slower than a current generation was his point.

But the comment said it was not as fast or as efficient as ML.

FoilAddict knows a thing or two about foiling.

Yeah Hilly, my point was what KC said. My opinion's based on observation, on any busy summer day here there's 100+ people to watch foiling. Sure the RS series is likely a little less efficient than any wing without a step in it (that'll likely be gone by 2024). The 1150 has also exhibited some bizarre behavior in extreme conditions but does recover fairly well, AND Since ML farmed out their production to Italy I'd be that much more reluctant to fork over US$3500 for a foil set.

I'm mainly back into Go Foil for the mast and simple system (and this 18 page collection of opinions, sometimes I actually believe the cr@p I write)

Have to say the best GF's I've seen . What's the AR on those , similar specs to the Cab 800 @ 9.9 AR & Lift 120 @ 10.2 AR

Awesome Pohaku, thanks!
Kudos to Go Foil for ignoring the big industry gathering in HR this week that has completely obliterated our waterfront access. No Idea what the point of this event is, it's closed to the people that actually pay for this stuff.

Since they're the only brand with a full time waterfront demo site via Northwave sails it would be pointless for them and probably pretty expensive anyway.

If you really want the low down on these, TJ most likely has them tucked away somewhere and probably logged few hours on.

Yup Burchas, my order's in with TJ

One of the guys down at Northwave had tried the 850 so there must be at least one in town.

Meanwhile, on the opposite end of the size spectrum...

The RS 1300 specs STILL continue to be incorrect on every Go Foil site around the world (worst emojis anywhere)
We laid the pnl185 and the rs 1300 on top of each other the other day, it's obviously essentially the same wing. Just no wing scissors on the tips and the 1300 actually behaves

Rode both the RS 1075 and the RS 850 last weekend. Tried the 1075 on a maliko Saturday. Unfortunately I chose to also ride a different board too and had to guess as to where to mount the plate in the tracks. I didn't guess right and didn't take anything to adjust in the water. (My bad) so had to struggle a bit. Wind was lighter than I expected so that added to my struggle. That being said it did lift fairly easy but not as easy as my RS1150. However once up it seemed to be fine. Stall speed was higher than the 1150 but I expected that. After my run I found out about the shark attack at paia bay. Literally must have happened as I passed by. ?? would like to try this again as I didn't set it up right.
Monday I prone surfed the 850 @ guardrails. The waves were small and gutless and tide was high. The 850 didn't care about any of that. It had plenty of lift. Alex warned me not to mash it down while pumping or it would drop. Good advice as I'm used to my 1150. It took some patience but I managed to adapt and got some 2 for ones and even some 3 for ones. I only had one session on it but could see that this was something special. Turns were quick and response was immediate. This one has a learning curve but if you want to up your game and are willing to adapt, this won't disappoint.

I've set my Facebook marketplace to the Bay Area and occasionally see ML foils. You could easily get one shipped to Oz - for the hassle. Just get another HA
