I generally find that if the sails are up and there is forward motion that the seagulls tend to look for another boat to crap on.

No seagulls on my boat , but it still gets pooped on. Must be a kite or sea eagle. He sits on the spreaders. Washes off no probs...but it's so interesting to see the little fish heads , crab bits/claws that dry up on the deck.

Mate, it's tried and true, lol. I spend about nine months of the year on my boat and the only time i have a problem is when I'm not using it. lol.

Ive two to three years before I retire and intend to live aboard and go sailing. But should have at least the main mast restored and up before easter. Probably still have lots to do inside but the basics will be there and seaworthy
