Nope, because that just infers that the people who live there are more "royal" than those who don't. Thereby insinuating that they're better than the southerners, which they ain't 
You could call it just NSW North.... or use a local indigenous word like "Tingalpa" meaning "place of fat" bastards..... Murri? Look it up.....
This PC rubbish has gone just a bit too far. I was once "recommended" to remove my shoes for a security scan in LA. It went like this.
Security "Sir, I recommend you remove your shoes."
Me "Thanks" and I kept walking, only to have him gently push me in the chest to prevent further progress.
Security "Sir, I recommend you remove your shoes."
Me "Yes, Thanks, can I please go through?"
Security "Sir, I recommend you remove your shoes."
Me "OK, do I have to remove my shoes?"
Security "Sir, no you don't, but I can't let you proceed unless you do."
Me "So, I don't have to remove them, but if I don't remove them I can't go through, is that right?"
Security "Yes sir, that is correct."
Me "So, I do actually have to remove them?"
Security "No sir, you don't if you don't want to."
Me "Why don't you just say, 'Please remove your shoes for security purposes?' "
Security "But that is too offensive to some minority groups sir."
Me "So, if they don't remove their shoes, what happens?"
Security "They don't go through"
So for the sake of offending the minority (who that is I don't know) they get to offend the majority.

So if a boat is named feminaly ie Currecy Lass is it wrong to call her her ? I know better than to call her she because that's the cats mother, and we all know a boat can't mother a cat, tho on reflection if the boat in question was a cat it sort of might be possible, picture a seawind with a litter of hobbies ??? Weird hey, but no more strange than being gender neutral because without gender Mrs. Seawind wouldn't be able to have all those little hobbie kittens and the world would be a much less fun place
