Thank you samsturdy foryour info. The free parking helps a lot if you're out overnight for more than 24 hours. Costs $ and limited time elsewhere. And dinghy vacancies yep will check with council.
Have you got far to motor/row to your mooring? Thanks again.
I've got a fibreglass dinghy in the mooring racks and take a 3.3 hp. Mercury with me. No rowing.
I'm halfway up the Creek ( without a paddle ) so 3 or 4 minutes gets me to my boat. Easy peasy.
Good one, thanks again. See how I go in getting a mooring, depending on how long I have to wait. Then apply to Council for storage.
Might see you out there sometime.
My sister has had two tenders stolen from the dinghy racks there. Both chains cut professionally.
Make sure your dinghy is the ugliest one there.
Hey Soapy,
I have my dinghy at Bothams Beach reserve. Not sure if this is the same place as Sam (there is another reserve near the end of McCarrs past Browns bay) but there seems to be some spare bays there now.
The council came through and cleaned up a bunch of squatters I think. Parking there is free but is always a pain on weekends as it's fairly limited. The usual process is drop you gear and crew then go for a drive looking for a park.
I have never not been able to find a park but sometimes it can be a bit of a walk back to the track head.
The reserve I'm at is McCarrs Creek Reserve, the one Muzz is on about at the end of McCarrs Creek. There's a lot of parking space
but it can get a bit hectic on a Summer weekend although I've never not been able to park. MB's right, get an ugly dinghy like mine.
Definately don't store your inflatable in a storage rack.
Thanks all for your feedback very much appreciated. Will jump on the wait list for mooring and see how I go.
Cheers

So you're staying in Pittwater! Nice.... though I thought you would eventually move to your local bay and be able to walk your dinghy across the road.....
Yup, for a good while, we like Pittwater, there's lots more see and no where near as busy as the Harbour.
