Well done NowandZen, but now that the serious stuff is out of the way, I just have to say I try not to cross the bar as it tends to annoy the Barman, who then refuses to serve you any more drinks . My abject apologise for that attempt at humour, it has been building for a week and I just couldn't let it brew any longer

The south side of NSW Bars [except Port Macq] is usually the safest north of Sydney, so an entry on that side is considered ideal.

Just on Southwest Rocks, there are two bars there, one into the Maclay River and one into Southwest Rocks.

Southwest rocks is suitable for powered vessels with small draft only, even so its still notorious for small rolling boats.
