Wow great job great description
Thanks I will give that a shot for the forward lower end
As my step is just an oval it is easy to just put sections of PVC pipe in the top at the rear
but not so at the front. Cheers Hiko

Hiko I like your PVC wedges idea. Keep It Simple. ![]()
ben.
Yes they work well at the top Drift wood off the beach works well also but not so good at the bottom which is where Chooks
masterpiece will shine I think ![]()
Great build chook, the mast adjustment plate inside the mast post is what I have used on my yachts for several years, works we'll and have never ha a problem. now where is the class5![]()
chook, I just read that you used never seize.
the zincand ally types react with salt so be warned , the copper type works well on salt
Ahh......That explains why I've been getting some pitting on the 20mm shafting in particular.![]()
Mine that I'm using is nickel based, I have both types here though, so thanks for that.
I have been trying "Vaseline" on the removable axles and it works really well too, although it weeps in the heat.
No time for a new class 5, Vic.
I'll run with the "Blue terror" I have. She's a darlin'.![]()
When I worked in the Salt refinery we used nickel anti seize
as I remember it was the one recommended and least reactive to most things
Graphite pits stainless steel as I recall
