Hey Plummet, you wouldn't use a 13 meter much in taranaki, that's why its lasting well.
Yourd be surprised how often it comes out of the bag. I can and do fly it up to 25 knots.
If you want cutting edge or world leading I would like towards the top brands.
Oh yeah? How do you figure out that "top" brands are cutting edge? And what defines "world leading"?
In any case.."cutting edge takes the brunt of the battle and often fairs less than "well".
Switch kites are causing a stir and lots of people dont like it..
I have a few switch nitros and elements that are holding up fine with no complaints. I also have an edge V8 2016.
Guess which one is coming loose on the stitching....
Yes thats right...the you bueat Edge V8....

You should have bought an older model. They're much better quality than the world leading, cutting edge new models
but you wouldn't do that much,
I use the 12 and 13m more in summer autumn. On days that lull down past 16 and gust to 25 I use the 13m. Can't stand being underpowered.
i demoed a Switch 10m Nitro 5 the other day in pretty discent wind
Best upwind kite I have ever flow
looped nice but not quite as nice as my RPMs
I then demoed an Switch 18m Helium in light wind a few days later
It too had great upwind ability
Turned pretty nice for a BIG kite too
the bar was only short but it still turned fine
Both kites had light bar pressure
Will definatly keep Switch in mind when Im buying new kites next
