Costs over 2+ years for a junior with low to medium use time, starter kit complete 2nd hand $1200 11 mod kahoona 7.5 etc, OR mako new old stock $600, 11 mod LF envy 12 including waist harness $650, 12 mod Best TS10 out of box old stock $500 + $100 repair (premature failure) all the old gear is still in fair condition without repairs.
On his radar a new TT to suit the ambition and something like an edge to drive it, buckley son get a job!
I'll be almost 8k this year with 4 new kites, a foil and a new raceboard.. And I did about 5k last yr as well.. I have sold some stuff from last yr so maybe 2k I've got back..

I am hoping Sir Joe Hockey adds kitesurfing to the Medicare Benefits list. It does reduce arthritis after all and reduces the effects of smoking whilst on the water.
If your going to cheap out / not replace then do not do so on your small kites.
My view is that the smaller the kite the better condition it shoud be in your quiver becuase this is the one that will ulitmately hurt / save you.
