hey peter can we get the bit of the vid of were you turned on to that wave just to put it to rest

Geoff you know I'd believe u

I was responding to all those who are quick to assume without the whole story

If u posted it in the WS forum everyone would be saying how bad the kiter was.

(And Lotoknob: there was a link to this in the WS forum else I'd not have found it. For a kiter you spend a fkload of time over the other side. )

I was tracking the wave and slowing on the peak, waiting for it to break, while the poley accelerated downwind and over and onto the wave down the line. he was then technically not dropping in as he was in front of the wave before it broke, he was just trying to scam a wave or get his picture taken. not sure if he thought he had more right to the wave.

on the previous 2 waves he accelerated and overtook upwind of me to scam the wave from the inside, because i was slowing and tracking the wave, i pulled out after watching from the shoulder for awhile. he didnt really bother me as its a bit of a fat wave when its smaller and i was out there to have a good time. a few on a wave isnt a problem if they dont get out of hand and its not a blatant drop in

the wind was 20 knots plus , so perfect wind for windsurfing and kiting, just the christmas holiday crowd

lol, yeah when the polers do that lame stuff I just let them have the wave, they work so hard to get out through surf getting smashed, then have to tack KM's out to sea to try and get upwind, feel sorry or them if they miss a wave and have to spend all that time again wasted battling before they can have some fun on a wave again.

Kinda the same as giving an old person your seat on a bus, makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside that helped a battler out.

Try being nice sometime, maybe make 1 in 3 or 1 in 4 posts pisstakes or spiteful. One day you may get it down to 1 in 10 or something.

You'll live longer.

Sailed that break with Spot1 last WE. there were about 8 poleys out, its OK but they drop in on you and you have to live with sharing the wave,

But if you drop in on a poley they will try to mow you down. So we are all equal, some are just more equal than others

I did too. I am a poley and it was about 4 and 4 when I was out. Nice swell and all played the circuit including the kites that were generally higher and could have got out of the circuit if they wanted. All nods and smiles. Great session. No drop ins or short tacks.
