Heres my edit on some go pro and shore footage we took this season.

It features Andy from WA Surf and his fatter slower older twin brothers cramping his style. Hang around for the wipeouts at the 6 minute mark.

If you like early 90's Aussie surf rock, turn it up! if not, better turn it down .

All the gear in this clip is for sale at www.wasurf.com.au (site sponsor).

Suggest you hit HD in the settings or it looks a bit ****e.

back on kite sizes, I'm 83kg and about an average rider, and used mostly a 10 and a couple of days a 14. some guys seemed to be using relatively large kites for the wind, but because the wind was sideshore it didn't seem to matter much. Whereas the day that I wanted a 17 but only had a 14, I wasn't kiting. A guy was using a 19 and doing pretty well I thought.

... I was one of them who used a 17 most of the time even though the wind was good, could have easily used a smaller kite but was too lazy to drop down.

While some of us used 17/19's some used 8's and 9's in the same winds so depends what you wanted to do. I just rode mach 9 done the line occasionally hitting the lip where as the small kite guys could ride or drift the kite and smack away. I even mangaged to get a sneaky few seconds under a lip that formed above me and the water fall thing the other side of me so apparently they call it getting barreled. I thought that was fun, might try that again !!!!
