You become advanced when...

1. You learn that kiting is not all about you...
2. You always keep an eye out and offer help or say your piece if something / someone has a problem..
3. You see someone gonna land their kite and help them..
4. You don't throw down a funked up trick in front of approaching riders and crash your kite nearly on them or beach goers..
5. You see someone unable to relaunch out on the water, take their board to shore then drag them to safety if need be..
6. You should have have developed some Common Sense, use it !
7. You understand that All the tricks in the book, dont make you anything - If your a tosser..

This has to be the best post I have ever seen on seabreeze

Saw a guy that I've met before out at Brighton yesterday morning and he was rigging up an 8m. I went and chatted to him and thought it was a bit strong for an 8. Helped him launch and thought for a few minutes I might go out but the wind was really starting to come in. Thought no I won't go out it's a bit strong. So I waited for 10 minutes watching this guy and making sure he was ok and as I was sitting in my car he was tapping his head furiously. In the end it paid to hang around and wait for him because he ended up miles overpowered. When I landed his kite he came over and thanked me and said he was hoping I would be around to land him.

I'm only between beginner and intermediate but it's cool to know that at least I fit some of the points above!

KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR FELLOW KITERS!!!

I'm sure he would have been fine but it pays to make sure!

The answer to this one is obvious

Beginner 0-100 posts, asks questions, wants to learn

Intermediate 100- 500 posts, offers opinions and answers some questions, has started a couple threads and has done a review or 2

Advanced 500-1000 posts has put up a few good reviews, has some good Informative advice, done a few reviews and has a very good knowledge of past and present gear

1000+ posts Total legend- a definitive guide to everything kitesurfing related, has an intimate knowledge of all kites and associated equipment past, present and future. Creates threads, invented reviewing and comprehensively ensured the world knows he/she is a total legend
