Hey look I am quite happy riding both ways.
Places like one eye Mauritius which is often big, fast and cross off I'd much rather be strapped as it is easier to bail out over the back, and I know you can hit it harder with less chance of stuffing up.
However for me I like the freedom of strapless.
From what I have seen over the years those from a windsurfing background like to ride strapped, those from a surfing background like to ride strapless.
Who really gives a **** as long as you are having fun.

This my my fav comment....

Same since taking up kitting, I surf a lot less so got to use those boards up. Kitting has proved to be detrimental to my surfboard stocks ... I'm a fatty

I def use less kite with no straps.

Never use a leash either way, had one of those retractable lease when I was learning on a TT copped in the back of the head was wearing a Gath but still its been an easy decision from there. Actually when kitting become more regulated (will it I only assume) this should be a law, to protect your self, or has to be combed with a helmet.

Was strapless on Sat at Jays beach, tryin/learning to duck tack, edged hard up wind started to spin round and stomp back on the fins..... Yep you guessed it bit to much lift took presure of the board and it flipped over, got a nasty cut from the split neglected fins I had in.

Love both as most have said, horse for courses.....mix it up peeps
