True, everyone has to make their own decisions, not denying that.

It wasn't exactly what I would call an amazing demonstration of strength, skill or courage though... for me it was just another reminder that what they are doing out there is pretty much rolling the dice waiting for that one loop that will cause them serious injury or death.

Lewis and others have done the same tricks a ton of times before, it's not like anyone is out there showing us something new or progressive, they are merely recklessly putting their bodies on the line for others enjoyment and a chance at winning some cash... It's cool riders are so pumped about making people stoked on kiting I guess, but no one should really be surprised when people end up seriously injured or dead (especially as people become more desperate to win).

In theory I think the whole thing is great, in practice I don't believe it's a very smart idea (look at the injuries as an example, all are totally random no amount of skill or luck would save any of them).

I mean we all have a laugh and think it's a great show now, but what are you going to say when someone actually dies? and all because of some stock kiteloop...

Hard to judge something properly on the internet.....

Isn't judging other people the whole point of the Internet? Or am I doing it wrong?

Nah, you're good.

Lasse's stack.
Midway through the loop, Lull.

Look as he's loading up and how the kite is moving......

throw the dice in gusty wind like that and loop... Sooner you throw snake eyes.

I love big air and KOTA but as I have stated also in the past, it's not the best place to hold it.

Lancelin, Dongora, Gero, Horrocks, Shark Bay, Exmouth is where winds get consistent abover 35 knots and are not gusty.

So where would you hold it @Sir Rowdy

True that Dave....... I'm not sure honestly where the best place for it is, WA does have some of the best steady strong wind around though.
