1 - 2015 Best TS - altho they had bladder issue this year they did fly really well as a all rounder. The Brand did go the extra Mile this year from the Bags the Bars to the Kite all were really done well. But seriously hard to sell on tho..... 12 9 7 still up for sale....

There have been other kites but they don't make the grade to be on a list. I quess I could split out my edges into sizes and years which would make 10 easily

2004 Slingshot Fuel is the top ten kites of all time.
It was the first kite that actually worked well and also the first that had one-pump, splitstrut, surf tough seams etc... The fact I could still use an 04 Fuel and have fun kiting speaks volumes.

Agree the 2004 fuel was a game changer, for me its up there but not in my top ten, found the 2002 Naish X2 (small sizes) better than the 2004 fuel, the fuel was easily made better but the X2 jumped better,
Another kite that i really liked but didnt make the cut, was the ocean rodeo diablo, very underated
If anyone has an old naish X10 or a slingshot stealth, hit me up, happy to sling you some cash, kites do not have to be in flyable condition, as i want to hang them up for display

what i have been really getting into for last few years is small formfactor gear that can still handle freestyle manouvers/getting thrown under busses in ****hole countrys. nearly nothing on this list fits any of that because so far all the ultra lightweight gear is either to fragile or im to inexperienced for it to meet my risk vs reward analysis. with alot of the new materials coming into play and more and more people travelling with multiple sporting goods companys are starting to invest little by little more people to the cause. i just wish i had a job where i could be involved in all of that instead of the bull**** i do instead just so i can make enough to have another year or 2 stint doing what i actually enjoy. anyways wakeboarding all winter in ONE MORE DAY cant bloody wait (ive taken the chaos off and on that list so many times but the new bar has just kinda set it theyre. of course a razor or a fuel probably deserve that spot more but hay sue me)

Airush lift pro...probably because it was my first inflatable after being on the two line foils. Had some depower...not much..but it seemed revolutionary to me.
Believe it or not...warroo 2009, SLE with heaps of depower...horrible kite relative to now though, but at the time...
2010 rebel...probably could have been any prior or post incarnation.
From there on pretty much any kite from any brand from C to race (and I've tried a lot of them) was excellent for specific reasons and purposes.
10) Naish Boxer 9m 2001/2002. No depower, **** bar, dragged me into the beach at Horricks and gave up the sport for 5 years.
9) Naish- Boxer 12m around 2001/2002- **** kite - spent more time swimming.
8) Fuel 11m and Fuel 13m - slow kites, unless doing wake style, are pretty boring kites.
7) New Alibi- 8m - Fun kite, however used to fall out of the sky too often. Didn't like drifting.
6) New Alibi- 11m - Great work horse of a kite, smooth performance, wasn't my fav bar/depower.
5) 14m Switchblade 2011, solid light wind performer. Allows both freestyle and wakestyle performance.
4) Switchblade 2011 -6m - such a fun kite. Both in waves and freestyle/ have used in 52knots.
3) Best TS 2014 - used once, loved it. Great low end- doesn't loop aggressively though.

Not true. OP asked what 'your favourite was' not the best all time.
Saying that, my first kite was an old fuel. It immediately got me hooked, straight after it slingshotted (slingshat) me uncontrollably through the air.
Fuel 2002 to 2013.... and then I got soft (read: older and couldn't take the hits anymore) The Fuels were simply a great kite.
Cruise around on a Neo on the surfboard these days...

That's a good set of quivers actually. Seems like the 2015 Switchy 8m is an all rounder?
1. Naish X2 16M A dog to relaunch but while it was in the air it boosted insane
2. Slingshot Fuel 2006 11m I just started looping when I got this kite and it taught me how powerful loops can be , got spanked heaps.
3. Ozone Edge 2008 11m I could fly this from 15 knots to 30 knots and be grinning all time . This kite absolutely loved to fly fast , the faster you went the more it pulled . It was a boosting machine in 30 knots , gee I miss that kite

Dunno. Maybe people don't like his kite selection? Personally I first read it and thought it was a troll, on second read I'm not so sure.

I guess the 2 line wipica (whatever it was called)did get me hooked but I can't say it ever loved me back.

1 - Best TS 2016 (10m) - Great all rounder.
2 - Liquid Force M80 (9m) - Best graphics ever. Great little kite but had quality issues.
3 - Liquid Force Spectrum 2 (21m) - I loved that thing when I was 15...
4 - Best Yarga 2005 (9m) - Grunty little thing, and I still love the look.
5 - Ozone Edge (9m and 13m 2015) - Flat water speed runs and mega boosting.
6 - Best Nemesis HP (10m) - Huuuuuuuge boosts
7 - Cabrinha Switchblade 12m - not my cup of tea, but no-one can deny their versatility.
8 - Slingshot Fuel - 2004 - I'm with Rowdy, revolutionary.
9 - Cabrinha Element - I still think the Recon system was a stroke of genius.
10 - Best Waroo 9m - The first one, the one that started off the hybrid revolution.

Brand affiliation I would say , can spot em a mile off . BTW I didn't red thumb . Great thread lostatsea , its good to see some of the older kites on here.
