No, it just means we have no idea who he is and it's one of the more um, confident first posts recently.

Computers... internet... google... couple of keystrokes and two mouse clicks away from almost any answer... think about it...

True story.

Pretty funny that the world no 2 ranked rider joins up Seabreeze, and a bunch of idiots try to bring him down (or don't even have a clue who the guy is!).

You fools should feel stoked that an absolute legend of the sport is on your little kiteboarding forum, rather than try to tell him he has bad "nettiquite" and you don't care who he is!

Imagine if you liked car racing, then Lewis Hamilton joined your forum. You'd rather tell him he's a dick than use the opportunity to get some input or advice from one of the world's top ranked pros?

Hahahahahahaha.

It's become really easy to see which forum members have something useful to contribute on this website.

If someboady walked into a party in the same manner it would be noted.
Whatever happened to hello?

I recently joined a new forum and said hello I'm a noob here, was areful with my first posts, emailed the site owner befroe making a semi commerical add in his free classifieds etc.

Seems all that has been gone for about 10yrs plus now.

...that assume all SBers have some form of interest in kiting, therefore should know who is ranked in the top few of the elite. Posted in 'General' forum.

Moved = fixed now & gets the attention of the guys that get the most out of watching it, although I'm glad it was posted in the 'General' forum -
great vid!

At a party how do you tell who is a professional kiteboarder?

Don't worry, they will tell you!

Exactly!
If people dont know who he is then maybe they aren't as into the sport as they seem to think. Its a great opportunity to get advice from an excellent kiteboarder

... netiquette ...

Not everybody in the world is that interested in the internet or forums, so hasn't the experience of netiquette. I think MJ wasted far too much time kitesurfing, rather than netsurfing.

Some people join a forum, post a couple of times without introducing themselves then, astride their mighty high horse, launch into personal attacks to sort out the status quo... that they've just messed up. The internet... it's for everybody, but not for everybody.

True story.

So to be a true kite boarder I have to follow whose who in the top tier competitions? Geez and here I was thinking it was about enjoying the stoke and getting out on the water. I might not have known who Marc Jacobs is but I've had a beer and kited/sailed with more then a few of the Seabreeze rabble, I find that more interesting than following the tour elite.

You know, you've got me thinking.. I can't for the life of me remember if I ever introduced myself when I joined... The shame.

So.. 'Subculture' - joined here in May 2008. Wow 6 years already. Hi!

Pisces, love kittens, long walks on the beach, flower arranging etc.. I've never attacked Ozone Kites or Kitepower. Will defend myself but not deliberately attack.

You?

A student today was doing that 'free running' I think it's called today outside my classroom and was bloody good..all that jumping, twisting and rotating stuff... Only 15 minutes left so I called him in and played that video above and said now wouldn't this be a great way to apply your skills.

He's amped. So Marc has inspired one
