To bjw: agreed I don't care if someone kites a boogy board (I saw a dude do this was pretty impressed). I travel quite a lot along the east coast for work and will try to kite any place I can which means I meet quite a lot of different kiters (pretty much everyone of whom is awesomely helpfull).
I completely symphasize with you man. I won't add my stories, but for me, if anyone tells me what to do at a beach, I *will* throttle them. NO ONE OWNS THE BEACH!
You were too nice in my view. Yeah anger is not good of course, but I ain't a pansy dog to be told what to do either!
Good winds to you man
Lol this would be great entertainment!
Seriously though he's not lying, here's some photos from the Townsville bulletin of lofty cracking the **s out at palleranda due to someone telling him what to do ( or because of the wind never getting above 20 knots or the muddy water or the crocodiles that turn out to be rocks )

Totally agree with you Flako. I was there that night, didn't see your incident but had a guy on a Griffin drop it almost on my head while I had my back to the water.
Aaah, so that was you. must of been the wind that day. i noticed you had a lot of trouble trying to relaunch him and ended up turning his kite inside out. i thought you just you messing with him. i saw all the knots that ended up in his lines when you put his kite down. He was pissed off. He's a regular. he's a good guy too.
Where you guys were standing is the best spot to launch and land. if you come back to salts make sure you clear that area as soon as you can. its not safe to pack up and stand around that area.
cheers
