Quick question, what is a good wakeskate for a beginner? (if there is such a thing?) I'm keen to give it a try but that board you have looks very small to ride, is bigger better to learn with like on a twin-tip?

@Jumping Dave, there's a few wakeskates around that would suit you. Tona makes one, Cabrinha made one, even Naish and Airush made a skate at one point (although no amazing). Any of those would be fine to get the feeling and get things started.
Rowdy, what do you think of those decks, not sure what they are called, maybe dual decks? They looks interesting. I wouldnt having a Crack at making a skate!
@kemp90 they are more the old school style of skate, they work but aren't really any better than a regular looking one. They are called "bi-level" wakeskates. The regular type flip a bit better. You should try and make one if you have the tools, it's not actually that hard.
