Here's a little edit I threw together from two sessions in SA.
Although it's challenging the spot is actually pretty fun for a skate because you have this on-shore direction with little kickers coming in on lots of different angles. The filming isn't perfect, the riding isn't perfect, the edit isn't perfect, infact nothing about it is really perfect... kind of like Kiteboarding with a skate in real life. I would love to spend more time working on a project there.
I'm sure some of you will hate it, hopefully that happens
.
While I'll agree with you that Muizenerg has some fun bump and jump conditions. Challenging it is not. Smoothest wind warmest water and smallest waves in Cape Town. You obviously didn't find the world class flat water spot just a kilometer or two from there or go further down the peninsular on the India side to find some truly challenging spots
That video was as progressive as the lorocopter video
You've been doing the same **** for 8 years or so now and it hasn't caught on ![]()
Christ, is your tripod made of potato's?. . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . na im just jealous of your sweet sweet skills!![]()
Christ, is your tripod made of potato's?
WTF is that supposed to Mean?
great edit and riding
i actually like straight onshore wind for riding in waves, sort of makes it easier to go right or left and set the kite position compared to side onshore.
^^+1 especially in slop. makes it easier to backside and frontside punt in a way that feels more fluid on the waves both directions too.
augusta, on the outside springs to mind ![]()

Go to muzeinberg yourself and try and make the same edit on a skate in two days, then come back and tell me it's not challenging. It was challenging for me! Haha.
P.s. I know all the spots there, including the flat water :) .
nice!
No edit from the WA trip?
May be a little edit coming later, didn't get to film much there either, I mostly ended up filming everyone else haha.

like any hipster, he'll stop when it becomes cool and everyone else is doing it.
did you really need a 14m in those condx?
Well kudos to you, filming yourself and putting out there for public comment takes courage. Looks a lot of fun that wake skating caper.
But honestly, given that, should you really be commenting on progression at the expense of other styles people pursue?
Rhetorical question, no need to answer, as you are the one with the courage to post that vid. Respect.
I'm thinking I should just give my "valid" views under an alias and contribute nothing to the sport or this forum... I think I would fit in better around here then. ![]()
To answer the other question I wasn't actually on a 14 the vid was shot all on 10 and 8, that was a random clip from a non session :) .
Well Alexander if you read your first post you said the spot was challenging not the edit or the time frame
I was in Cape Town over the new year but now I avoid spot like Tableview and Muizenberg because they are too crowded. There are so many better spots in the Cape if you now the area.
I also kite for my own pleasure, not to try and promte myself as font of all knowledge
PS I liked the shot Koeberg nuclear power plant sure that was shot on the same day
Nah keep going, it's been fun....
... The weird thing I see validity in what you've said to a point, just can't handle the message delivery.
Hey put some honey around the medicine man. Easier to swallow. ![]()
@IanR You need to stop reading so literally haha. I said it was challenging, which meant it was challenging for me to ride a skate there, not that the spot is challenging for every single person on every type of watercraft that's ever kited in the history of the sport. Same goes for filming in two sessions...
@eppo thanks for your concern.
wtf is with all the hate, we’re not surfers, we should be sharing the stoke!
Don't worry dude, it's the same old people thinking they are "trolling" haha. Most people are stoked to see a video or some pictures here, they just don't leave a message to let you know. I'm stoked to see everyone's contributions on Seabreeze, Australia needs more content and people to keep the stoke and sport alive!
Ohh didums did I get get under your skin
I consider it fun to piss people off who like to piss other people of f
Ask Terry McFool about it
Go in peace and enjoy your kiting
If you think you're getting under my skin you obviously don't know me well enough
. I love this crap. Your posts read more like you don't read properly rather than a proficient troll.
I'm only been on here for a short time but it ****s me that someone with something to offer gets ragged on by plebs. Seen it so many times on this forum it is ridiculous, good riders with serious credentials sharing there skills and coping grief.
The next time a clown bags a guys video they should have to post their best compilation to support their argument or stop being a keyboard warrior![]()

Show me a post where Rowdy has "offered" anything.
He admits himself he's just trolling.
Don't believe anything he has ever said on here because it's obvious he's trying to piss people off for his own amusement.
Should consider skate boarding, the board is similar, you can wear a tshirt and also some shoes without getting wet and cold!!!!
You would be soooo legit
screw the kite surfers in decent waves (they should unhook and can't compare to real surfing), not legit
screw the freestylers (their kite is not low enough), not legit
screw the kite racers (they lack skils), not legit
Instead, let us all do flicky flicks on a flimsy little plank using 20 cm white wash as kickers![]()

So being unhooked and unstrapped leads to perhaps one in five landings of wave carves or airs.
Thats going off your video.
Man, I've got 15 k's of coast to rip the top off and get some big airs on the way out,
Not taking the pedals off my bike any time soon nor the straps off my board or the throttle off my kite.
You rip, btw. Keep pushing that envelope
Totally depends what you're doing... If I was doing all the tricks I can already do I would land 90% of the time. If you're not crashing, you're not trying hard enough
.
I think its a good flick,
some good skills and riding. looks like you are enjoying it. I would happy to have a session in those kickers. keep them coming.
