IMHO: Lano is the spot for most people. Augusta is good I have kited so much down there this season, but I don't know if there is a wave near by Decent for the surf heads? It's defo family friendly and the secluded side of the river would make for a monster pill session /rave / chill out sun rise set :-) just putting in my 2cents but I will also throw in accomodation for that underoath dweeb if he decides to come over ??

Family friendly and monster pill session in the same sentence?

Dude have u not been to Europe ? It's tots fine

Is that why euro kiters are such bell ends?

Cauncy, totally agree with you.

It's all about the Stoke, wind, surf and socialize, don't need all the fan fair to have fun.

I would be keen for Lano, do a Lano to Wedge downwinder would be epic and much better than the normal KS DW.

Cheers
Rich

well guys here is your chance. get onboard the waksa committee as you seem really keen with ideas and help get KS up and running .

with all respect dusta, I think ive been very pro kitestock, imho you need to be more involved with the local kiters, or state kiters,
not so in house, this is where some of the negative vibes are coming from, kiting for me is freedom, but I still don't mind a state or governing affiliation in the background,

Yeh theyre fine....out of town, out of the water... better in the pub....especially when lonely old men desperate for interaction put them up on a pedistool.......put em at a kite spot which requires some sharing, respect and etiquette....then fark evryone wanting a quik ses after work, my trick progression is more important. Have to tell evryone on FB.....Add a camera, then its full abnoxious instagram wanker......it's ok I full tomohawk my kite on ur head as long as I got a pic to post...... Just a $hit attitude towards others....vibe kill for everyone else. Your on holiday FFS, you had all day.... stop hassling everyone out

Yea, back in 2008 I roped my missus in to being the WAKSA accountant thingy and I helped were I could. Priority in my life is family and work with sessions in between. If I'm there and not doing anything I am always willing to help but can't commit to anything long term, sorry. My intension was only on to throw in an idea, never to show unappreciation.

WAKSA does a great job and I take my hat off to the guys that sacrifice their time and energy, good on ya, we do appreciate it.

Just a heads up for the Kite Stock weekend......

The bus back from Wedge has a limited capacity and spots are filling up quickly. If you intend doing the DW then I suggest you get registered as quickly as possible.

Check the FB page for updated info www.facebook.com/events/1165505073566413/

There are a few other events on in Lano that weekend including a Triathlon on Sunday morning. I expect that accommodation will be filling up fast.

Got in early and registered (no way was I missing another chance to do Lano to wedge run) but looks like nada wind.

Any thoughts on postponing to another weekend?

That would make sense. ...and give retailers the chance to show their new stuff BEFORE the main season.

Said it all before havent we.
