My nitro 4 8m just rocked up yesterday picked it up for $450 in the silent auction promotion, Cant beat that !
The policing of the forums on this site is ridiculous.
There was a good discussion going about the pros and cons of Switch. It's all fine and dandy when the comments are negative but as soon as a couple of people speak up about positive experiences the forum police come along and delete the thread. I was finding it rather informative, more informative than most of the other dribble on here.
1) The topic title/content was "Switch Kites ripoff - credit card charge" where a punter was complaining about alledged illegal behaviour by switch. So, as per our 13 year old policy ( www.seabreeze.com.au/Members/Help/ForumRules.aspx#h40 ) it was removed.
2) We exercise this policy of "No complaints about businesses - direct them to the business itself" regardless of whether a brand is a sponsor or not.
3) If you visit the Gear Reviews section, you'll find plenty of chat about switch kites.
Absolutely ^^^^
Can Laurie please explain, why was this removed??? There was nothing that written that breached Seabreeze policy, why remove it?
A forum is only valuable if it allows an open discussion that is not offensive and provides all perspectives.
As above, it was complaining about a wrongful credit card charge.

When speaking to Switch thru their online chat I asked them the very same question. As obtaining info on Switch on the Seabreeze site is impossible.
Switch kites approached Seabreeze to pay for advertising a few times. They got denied.
Laurie did not want to do it as a lot of the retailers would give him heat and pull their advertising if he let them in.
Free world I say . If you pay the price of admission let them play with the others.
I'm sure if Switch was to offer kite magazines $$ to advertise they would be let in right away.
There have been a few adds in Kiteworld magazine that Switch pay for.
Looks like the Mags have it going on.
Come on Seabreeze. Play fair.
Hi mr one-post, proxy.
That's a lot of guesses & rumour and then ending with a 'conclusion' that Seabreeze doesn't play fair which is rubbish.
If we delete abusive posts of a major brand we get called favourites.
If we delete abusive posts of a non-advertising brand we get called 'unfair'
Part of the territory I guess! ![]()
We (5 of us) don't sit around all day waiting to nuke logins.
We respond to reports, and mega-red-thumbing.
Please feel free to PM me.
Then why am I still here, ay? ;)
Go down to Mokule'ia any day and you will see most guys on Switch Elements, and a pretty hefty amount of them f***ing rip. I was on Nitro II's for almost 3 years and beat the ever loving crap out of them. My 8M is still rock solid. This is while living on the beach at Moks and riding 20 days a month self launching, landing, rescuing, etc. There is no way anyone could fault the build quality of the kites. That's my 2 cents after owning the kites and watching other guys that ride them.
I did a mega loop on a switch i borrowed from a guy on the beach.i was curious on how they would perform.not too well .at the peak of the loop it ripped in half .i got smashed and the guy on the beach wasnt impressed with my skill as i didnt land the loop.**** kite nearly killed me.i gave him back his kite said thx but no thx and left him with a big tangled mess.i will stick to fx.s in future
You F%^k it. You pay for it!
I better insure my hands - they are owed a lot of money....

Im largely impartial to this thread but I reckon that when talking up quality of kites maybe that was a bad choice of wording
Here's a hint folks.
Creating new accounts to spam these forums with propaganda (positive or negative) isn't going to win friends or influence people.
If you can't be genuine and civil we suggest you go elsewhere...
