When I open the Island site, the default photo is the digital display, (the same one as on the KP site) - the price shown on that screen is $199. That suggests the $199 model has a digital display; somewhat misleading.

I wouldn't have noticed the drop down box unless I went to purchase, then it shows the two models and prices.

Anyway, I'm enlightened Watto. Thanks

$226 ish AUD delivered (ebay) for the island deluxe. Built in battery, case, and digital display. Just bought one. Works well. Note: not one to wimp it and hate gadgets that this sport attracts, (like triathlon) but back surgery in Jan I'm just happy to be back in the water.

Nice price! I paid 299 but I'm cool with supporting one of the local retailers.

maybe...try and pump up 7 struts then the largest damn leading edge I have ever seen (2011 16m dyno!)...it's where absurdism meets potential laziness.

I still hand pump my 9 and 12 though...well maybe not the 12...hahahahaha

12v rechargeable pump from Kmart $19 - Works a treat if you have one of the newer large inflate vale kites, or pump up via the deflate valve and top up with pump.

or

Replace an old kite dump valve with a 'boston valve' ($4 at local hardware store) and Tear Aid - (think Cabrinha system, looks like this www.surplusandoutdoors.com/shop/camping-equipment/airbeds-camp-beds/flocked-airbed-repair-kit-with-856823.html ). Just did this on an old fuel, works a treat. *make sure you file the base thin.

or

Connect your 18v drill battery to a 12v airbed pump, and pump via the new large valve. The extra voltage increases its pressure output. Assuming you have the drill, total investment $6.

Yeh that bottom charge and power switch is a pain in the ass but they must have done this for a reason.

Not t sure if their the Same
I bought the island deluxe model
the first one was a bit of a dud was going flat real quickly
but they were awesome about it and replaced it asap
the replacement pump is awesome you can pump up about 6 kites without recharging it
you can set a pressure and let it go and it turns off when at desired pressure
I run my lines while its pumping up

Hmmm if your backs that dodgy kiting might not be the best, otherwise like weight lifting there's a right way and wrong way to use the hand pump. Try the right way?
Also I island pump is quiet heavy to be lugging with the rest of your gear.

Ooookay, I'm sorry it's just if you had google'd electric pump or island pump seabreeze you would of seen more than half dozen forums come up over the last couple years.
I'm sooo tired of the same s... Over and over.
God it must be that time of the month again lol, hmmmm the wind better be nice this Wkend or somebody's gonna cop it.
P.s. AndyHansen I too have a dodgy back, neck and early emphysema, and have 2012 coreXR19m a 2014 epic infinity 16m a 12m fuse a 12m bandit and an 8m bandit.
I just don't see the point on wasting 250-300 on an island pump when your back would thank you more with a nice top of the range harness
Pps just make yourself one of these lol, would be cheaper

Cost me $5 And 30 mins to make.
Made that cost back in time saved threefold!!
