Hey Dave, yes mate how's the foiling?
Will google and check out the cam.But the low life's would probs steal that to and pawn it.
Won't have to worry after Monday.
My right knee replacement will put me out of action for a few months.Been waiting a while.
Will be kite bitch for a while.
Hip replacement has been terrific.
Hope the police nail them just to reassure the locals. Not only the kiters, but all the beach users.

Dash cams are cheaper than that! $100 for forward facing ones, but I've got a Chinese thing off eBay for $50, but the manual is ****ed and I can't figure out how to make the Oarking mode work... Comes with a back camera too, which coukd be mounted in the car.

Hey mate sorry for your loss. I hope this makes you feel better- ages ago someone stole my bag from the local lifesaving club while I was out training anyway I was tottaly defo since this was the era when my mom still made my boardies and in my bag was my only pair off store bought quiksilvers. About two months later this local dirtbag came past the club wearing my boardies so I went at him and I swear I RFS'ed him so hard I probably altered the orbit of our planet- as a result of this RFS old mate dirtbag's sunglasses went flying and hit one of the senior dudes in the face only for him to realise they were his "lost" rayban's so he RFS'ed him what up the other side of his nut as he was getting up and knocked him out. All up everybody got their stuff back and I got sweet portion from one of the girls because she wasn't there when it all went down and thought I had knocked old mate out- long story short- I hope you get your stuff back and if you see some man wearing yo pant RFS him so hard his ancestors will feel it, you may even get some sweet lifesaver chick action. Aswell good luck with your surgery getting range of motion back can be a bxstard.

Hey mate,
That's a great read.What a crack up.
Double wammo!!!! Hahaha
Just what the low life's deserve.
A good old fashioned flogging.
I am still laughing.
Thanks for sharing.
Hey Kami & Dave yes I googled dash cams, there's that many.Read all info about them. When your car is parked at your local spot
Say Frasers and the dash cam on.How long can it run for, before it stops recording or runs your battery flat in the meantime. Will check out further.Maybe a motion sensor is better to set of alarm.

Motion detection, so they only snap a pic or movie when something changes in their field of view. Ages would be my guess...

Not needed here -- we go to the beach and leave the car unlocked and doors open. Nothing nicked, ever.

I don't know how you stop them pinching a dash cam.. something to slow them down 1 minute would be enough, even gluing the cables in so it doesn't rip out first go maybe. You can certainly get them much cheaper I was quoting what I heard someone here paid for deluxe front & rear cams fully installed.

I got interested in that FB group when I came round the corner on the sunshine motorway just as it goes from 1 to 2 lanes & 100kmh. Put the foot down to pass tow truck doing 70-80 in the left lane - doing 30kph faster than him and just draw level and as my view opens up I see a car was coming at me driving wrong way down divided motorway. Hit the anchors and horn. Distance between us closes real fast and I realise we're not going to stop in time. Hit anchors even harder and swerve right into emergency lane - can't go left as tow truck's there - not big enough for a whole car but it's something. Unfortunately other car swerves same way at same time we we stay lined up. Stop with 1m between bumpers. Woman in 60s, well dressed, in new Lexus, done at least 3kms the wrong way. Looking blankly at me scream at her. I had the middle back seat folded down to accomodate a fishing rod - ended up with other stuff from the boot on the dashboard against the windscreen, that's how hard I'd braked. Small S shaped skid on road to this day - but ABS/EBD on VE commodore saved me that day - and my then 2yo in the back. Anyway we all pulled over safely on the left - towie came to talk to me - and she picked a gap and gunned it, disappeared. I considered chasing but thought of my boy and let her go. Towie uploaded footage to the site above - but it was very undramatic thanks to the perspective and you can't quite see me beside him at all. If I was 2m further forward it would have been a much more dramatic vid.

Anyway... foiling going nowhere fast - only been kiting twice in 4 months due to small people in house. Hoping to go more often this year with more work / kindy flexibility.

Hey Dave,
Mate really glad you escaped that close call.
What a bitch not even a sorry That she nearly killed both of you.
Dash cams could have deffinately helped in your situation as well as mine for security.
Will consider for the next few months while recovering from knee replacement.
Will have plenty of time.!!!
Hopefully the Police catch the low life's soon.
They are local re offenders.
Probs just got released after last years rampage in the same car parks.
They will get more jail time re offending this time hopefully.

Hey,
The problem in yamba has been going on for a very long time. I had my first encounter with the low lifes in the early 90s. Lost $100s of dollars worth of gear. As usual the coppers said its a group of young local abo's. Went there last year for some surfing. Came back to find mates car window smashed. Same story again with the coppers... "local abo's"
I'm guessing by now the local authorities are letting these kids get away with it. Who would dare target the local abo community.
Makes you feel good to come into work and think of a good portion of your wage goes into supporting them. Can people start thinking of a card system to provide food, fuel, clothes and rent only to welfare recipients?. ... cant be hard to do?? Gutless governments will not go there until the people start talking about it.

Yes Scotty,it's crap.Even pointless whinging about it.Just pisses us off. They get away with minimum penalties.
Takes weeks to get our stuff back together let alone the stolen articals you just have to right off.Not sure how to counter this apart from not kiting or using the locations where they can get away with it.Unfortunately.
