I always check out the persons profile beforehand and number of posts they have made.

If it is a name I am not familiar with and/or they have made little or no posts, then the trust is not there.

Same here, also COD is useless for the buyer as you have to pay up before you get the goods - if it's crap, you are stuck with it.
PayPal can sometimes be a safe way to go but as Shi thouse mentioned above SEABREEZE CRED is at the top of my buying on SB criteria.

@ LeighMajor, if your buying as much as you have been selling on SB? & have only been stung this once - I'd be thinking myself lucky.

Hi Mick
Yes I totally agree.
Its definitely my poor judgment in this case.
Actually said to him in one of my emails saying he sounds like a scammer.
Arrrrh my bad!!!!
I have had numerous other scammers over the last ten years.
Usually offshore, average English in the message.will be back soon, will take the item.
Sometimes for more?
When in doubt contact Laurie at Seabreeze report the scammer with there email or phone number.
I waited 5 days then reported to my CBA Bank they said it can take up to 8wks for hopefully a refund but not certain.
Pretty peeved off but bad judgement on my count.
Seabreeze is an excellent site.
Thanks heaps.

Yes it's amazing dusta when people or scammers put adds on Seabreeze that aren't what they say they are.
And there's old f..... like me that get sucked in by these c.....
I put this up in case it stops some vulnerable buyers as myself getting stitched up buy these arse holes.
Lesson learnt the hard way.

sorry leigh but fark me how could that information not ring any alarm bells

Pretty good one circulating on Facebook recently with Reef Thongs , believable price savings of 28% and 36% and free delivery for $100 purchase etc , even used Reef authentic shopping cart that worked perfectly - wasn't till they had ALL sizes and Variety of every Reef available that it occured to me, you can never find a size 9 US in any of the shops
Then customers feedback started not long after

That sucks. I ask for name over the phone then a photo of license to be sent. Check the address lines up with where they say are sending etc. what's so bad about sending a photo of your license I figure.

I had pretty much resigned myself to my fault and terribly bad judgement.
Cba did not give any details only saw the refund in my account. So Deffinately a scammer in action.
Happy days.

Good out come Leigh, its a shame its usually the honest trusting person who think others are the same, as we should be able to, that fall for these scum scammers.

Yes mate worked out alright.
But as I've read the same scammer is trying his luck on other sites.
Really should be reported to the Police fraud if he continues to scam.
I am generally a trusting person but there is a grey area in the process of buying or selling.
Alarm bells definitely if you suspect an unusual selling practice or suss details.
That time in the process between paying with Direct Deposit or PayPal or even card that time frame from payment to postage tracking details.Trusting the person to send Postage tracking details.
So it's like being in a Limbo
State waiting for this trusting person to send tracking details after the payment.
Really at the end of the day scammers are few and far between and can usually suss them out.
Am very grateful to the majority for their honesty.
