Hi Juddy, at Kuta I've been using 11 edge and 148 TT, wind kicks in about 10-11 am and dies around 5pm. Hired a driver and Heading to Kaliantan tomorrow and is supposed to be a bit stronger there, good winds forecast here til early next week. I've also got a 15 and surfboard. Really good spot at Kuta itself, love it, apart from kite school learners there's bugger all kiters here at the moment.

Hey Surfer62, caught up with you at Sanur in the hotel having breakfast. I have been surfing Ekas since Sunday and the wind has been quite strong most days and have been well powered on a 9mt, wind is howling again today but I need a break after 2 surfs a day and kiting some days.

I will head down too Kaliantan for a look tomorrow and catch up.

Jason

Those one liners i usually have at everyone elses expence have come back and bitten me big time.

Had copious tea spoons of cement but to no advail.

Bali has just been removed from my holiday destinations forwith.

Ah well, i guess its your time to unload on me, please be gentle, im a bit thinned skinned at the moment.

... HAAK is sensitive at the moment, be nice you guys hey, as he took a bait and is feeling all of the fury of Bali belly with some extra pepper too boot!

So far so good for me, stayed away from the sus chicken and rat food,,,,, so far and all good.

Had a nice session today, waves and mobs of flat stuff but 3 to 6 foot stuff galore, small but suuuuuper fun. Cracked the 90 km in one session according to my GPS watch, grinning from ear to ear!

Geez Robbie 90kms, how many bintangs per km

For Eddie, the reef offshore from Kuta has a series of breaks/peaks and better than Sanur, more cross on than onshore, was a bit lonely out there by myself last couple of days, except for the turtles, mixed it with some inshore play.

for HAAK gotta come to Lombok next year plus thanks for the pump I would have been farked without it, especially tomoro.

for the rest of the Darwin crew, seriously consider Lombok next year, not much for the ladies, haven't seen one spa shop and little shopping all round but plenty of warungs and some great other eateries, no traffic no hassle just wind and water.

Great cure for mencret in Indo is Yakult aka Yakul. Any of the indo, alfa, etc marts has them for less than a dollar. Drinking a whole pack of 5 after a meal once a day or couple after every meal, 2/3 days of that and I am good. Drinking one or more a day after a meal is preventative as well. Other option is Antibiotics from any apotek.

Just go find an old local woman and ask her to make you up a small glass of guava leaf juice[ Air daun jambu].It will work like you wouldnt believe and quick.Worth the 30 seconds of taste like sh!t.Got me off the death bed more than once in the old day and never needed the apotik since.

Papaya seeds. One teaspoon. The fruit unblocks you; the seeds do the opposite. Don't go overboard with them though, they can be toxic. Supposed to kill the bug in your tummy and bowel.

Have fun.
I'm glade to be home after 23 hours on the road so to speak.

Got onto Air Asia flight after a 6 hour delay Bali end, then a 5 hour drive home.

This trip was part of our 40th wedding anniversary so we upgraded to business class for the trip home. WTF, no videos etc.
But they did have a lie down bed.
Was worth the extra $$$$.

HOME SWEET HOME.
