In typical French summer style, Day 1 was 25+ and gusty!!
All the favourites in the mix and getting stuck in. After getting a lesson in speed kiting by Nico (r1) last weekend, Maxim (F-One) has up'ed the game and dominated the first day! Axel (f-one) showing yet again he is a top contender this season. Julien taking 2 x 3rd finishes putting the fleet on notice he's there to race.
Day1 was not without drama, with Nico smashing a foil wing in race 1, and an incident in race 4 take a number of racers out including Maxime.
Alex C ( F-one inflatable) doing well in 5 overall.
Peter Muller Sonic-FR currently in 9th.
ok bit of a catchup....
KiteFoil Silver Cup France:
The French winds were again cranking for this event, 25-30 knots for most of the days and the lads pushing the limits!!! http://www.kitenews.fr/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/R_2015_SILVER_CUP_______GS04-1.pdf
Each day was absolutely actions packed and super close racing!!! 19 Races in total
Day 1 saw heaps of drama for the top riders, with broken foils, snapped lines and tangles.
The final day saw Max take a huge crash in the last race as he crossed the finish line that left him knocked out.
Bullets were shared amongst the top few across the days.
Over all Max (F-One Diablo) got the better of Nico (Ozone-R1) in the big wind conditions and seems to have Nico's number on course tactics.
Axel (F-One Diablo) was a fierce contender and was in the hunt for bullets. Julien (Elf Joke 5) had a slower start but finished strong and is now well and truely a world class racers on the foil. The fleet was mixed FoilKites and InflatableKites.
Alex finished a very impressive 5 over all on inflatable.
The top Flysurfer Sonic-FR rider, Peter Muller, finished up 9th over all.
Final overall & dailiy standings from each of the 4 days .
French National:
This week & weekend is the French Nationals, an again an impressive fleet featuring many of the worlds best!
Standings after Day 2:

Lighter conditions this time round.
Nico Parlier (Ozone R1) has cleaned up with 7 bullets out of 8 races.
Super light winds for Day 3 of the French Nationals saw many of the LEI riders not making the start line.
7-8 Knots and racing only starting late afternoon.
only 3 Races on Day 3.
First Race Nico (R1) takes the bullet with a comfortable 10second lead on Max (F-One)
Race 2, and it was Julien (Elf) putting down the hammer in the light conditions, leading most of the race and taking a well deserved bullet!!
Race 3 - was about the cloest racing on the event!! 7-8 Knots on the course. Nico (R1) with a slow start & spending most of the race in 4th, makes a big comeback on lap 2 and beating Max(F-One) to the line by a the smallest of margins!
Nico Parlier (R1) dominates and wins the French Foiling Nationals!!!
Light condition of the final day mixed it up a bit.Axel stepping up and taking his first bullet for the event, the lad is going to be a top contender at Gold Foil Cup.
Maxime (F-one) dropping off the pace ever so slightly in the light conditions, but taking a well deserved 2nd place over all in Foil. ( and won the formula class)
Julien doing well in 4th (Elf) but wonder what he's going to have to do get a spot on that podium.
Getting amped, the all time epic sprint race Rostan Bridge to Bridge San Fran Classic this weekend!!!!
Good money would say we in for a new record time!
Its the Bay Challenge this weekend. The Bridge to Bridge isn't until September. Long distance from StFYC to Berkeley and back. The course changes a little each year so there's no really a record, but last year Joey smashed the one hour mark. 45 minutes this year?

Cheers for the update& correction, an additional awesome race is always great news!
Keep us posted if you have any more inside info ![]()
They set a long course so the fastest time was longer than last year. Foil kite won (I think it was a 7m R1) with a Spotz 2, LEI's in the mix though with a few in the top ten. I made a bad tactical choice and went south instead of north on the upwind which cost me three or four places. The SF Bay Classic has been moved to the weekend before the Gold Cup so that the internationals can enter. It's a similar but harder race, with fixed marks on the downwind and an anything goes on the upwind with each leg scored as separate races.

Johnny managed to snag a boat mast on the upwind and had to retire/DNF for the second year in a row. He cam back the next day for course racing and smashed it, winning all but one of the four races.
Hi
no new results?
does anyone know if elf/North has a diffrent/updated/new kite than last year? This kite was faster than the R1 :D
internationalkiteboarding.org/index.php/the-class/news-channels/22089-bridge-and-kalinina-defend-european-champion-titles-in-style
and it looks like the F-one Diablo is also at the same level. (at foil board)
Pretty sure all those ozone's were chronos still as Florian only just got his R1's in time for Lake Garda.

Olly is a super human on the formual baords, would take alot more than a faster kite for anybody to beat him.
The only new released kite at the event was the new Elf so wasnt much use doing a R1 vs F-One vs Elf vs Sonic-FR post.
Next BIG event is KiteFoil Itally, all the top teams, all the top riders with their preffered sizes in all the latest gear.
Marv has apparently been super fast on a new prototype KFA and the Sonic FR at the foiling week.. Gold cup will be interesting to see whose where..
These are from Peter Lynn
I find the european championship result funny, because the old joker5 was faster than the R1. Last year the joker5 was already faster than the Chrono. So the R1 can't be much better than the R1
At the Italy Gold Cup there should be already the Joker 6
