see you all there!
turned out to be a great start to the season.
good 10m weather for the first 2 races then it went nuclear and the decision was made to abandon the racing.
Although it would have been fun to race in 25knots+, the decision was totally understandable.
Thanks to the KP crew and to the PRO who volunteered his time.
much appreciated, cant wait for the next round.
Agree - thank you so much for all the hard work, planning - and today - execution to produce a fantastic race day.
A few pics of the action yesterday
Good to see a great turn out from both the race boards and the TT chargers.
With thanks to all involved, I enjoyed my first Kiteboarding event. I hope you'll have me back again.
Thanks to the support crew for hanging around all day, a tough job but somebody has to do it ![]()
Can I have 10 Knots please ![]()
I told them to Funk off, and they just looked at me....
i swear if racing wasn't in botany i would never ride there.
i managed to get my **** together and get around them, far out tho.
does anyone look at that board and see a sharp toothed/finned monster looking up at him???
(i have a few bite marks on my hands and feet from yesterday thats for sure)
Kite races start up again this Sat 12 Jan, everyone ready for more action? ![]()
It looks like the following one falls over the Australia Day long weekend Sat 26 Jan, there could be quite a few away for this one, falling over a public hol wkend!
Bump
The first races for 2013 kick off this Saturday - Twin tip or Raceboard come on down to Hollywood Avenue Carpark on Botany Bay for a 1pm start.
Don't think so. Looks like there will be a nice South Easterly. Between two troughs (as per Saturdays Forecast) anything can happen though ![]()
Ive done my ankle...
hopefully be sorted for the second bunch of races of the 2013 season.
hope its windy
More pics from the action on Saturday 12-1-2013
Wind from about 12 to 29 knots
Gota luv the guys on the start boat throwing a line in as soon as we start![]()
Had to dodge some floating trees, didn't miss the ones you couldn't though ![]()
Was wicked good, a range of racing on different sizes..
Now the question, I was so much fast upwind and round the course on my 13m as opposed to my 10m, even when the wind increased..
10m more comfortable, but not as quick upwind or down wind..
Yet most all the guys were doing much better on there smaller kites..
