Is anyone else having random question marks inserted in their posts?

Further to this, if I've posted with a quote using the preview site, I can't see my reply using the preview site, even weeks later. However my reply is there when viewing via current site.

Odd? PM me a link so I can see...

Found this issue.. will be fixed today. (caused by Chrome/Safari occasionally inserting a different type of "space" to Firefox/IE/other browsers)

Laurie mate, The question marks were not intentional.

I'm using Chrome.

No worries; just installed the update, so the question marks should be history from now on. (Posted this with Chrome)

I think it might be because you're not clicking "Save Settings"?

Make your way to the your Profile settings: www.seabreeze.com.au/Members/Profile/Settings.aspx

Turn off the checkbox for "Email me when someone sends me a private message"

Then click the "Save Settings" button down the bottom... ?

Let me know the setting doesn't stick.

Not sure I follow what you're saying. Sorry. We've not written any plugins.

To take a guess .. the new forum was built from scratch because

a) the old one used a technology that Microsoft ended about 10 years ago,
b) it doesn't support mobile devices and
c) it was horrid to work on and almost impossible to grow/enhance.

If I was to send a message, it would be that Seabreeze is a work of passion, built for people to enjoy. To be the best it can be, and work the best it can for all. That's my message.

With that in mind, if you/others are able to help point out any things that don't work, or where it's broken, we'd all appreciate it so that those items can be fixed before it goes live and is a pain to use!

Not sure if you saw my "feedback" messages, but if you look at the posts I made when logged I was in to the new forum (I have since gone back to the old forum) it kept inserting "?" characters. It usually did it when I added two spaces between sentences, but it also did it when emoticons were used and at other times. It made my posts look demented.

For sure .. all fixed. Let me know if you're still getting the question marks...

The joys of a major upgrade. Sometimes I look at all the technology & wonder how it even works at all!

Nobody has mentioned any issues, so the new forum is (obviously) now alive, along with the rest of the site upgrade.

Please do write if you find any problems, keen to ensure it works well for all, on all platforms.
