^^^^^Yeah my mum warned me never to click on a link from anonymous strangers on the interwebs. Stranger Danger dude.

But feel free to explain what the link is, mods would probly prefer that you did that instead of leading people away from their web site.

The hilarious irony of Lotofwind's reply oh god you couldn't script it.

From the link:

A. A pervasive distrust and suspiciousness of others such that their motives are interpreted as malevolent, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by four (or more) of the following:
(1) suspects, without sufficient basis, that others are exploiting, harming, or deceiving him or her
(2) is preoccupied with unjustified doubts about the loyalty or trustworthiness of friends or associates
(3) is reluctant to confide in others because of unwarranted fear that the information will be used maliciously against him or her
(4) reads hidden demeaning or threatening meanings into benign remarks or events
(5) persistently bears grudges, i.e., is unforgiving of insults, injuries, or slights
(6) perceives attacks on his or her character or reputation that are not apparent to others and is quick to react angrily or to counterattack
(7) has recurrent suspicions, without justification, regarding fidelity of spouse or sexual partner

^^^ no, cos there is no need
the slangin was what ruined this place, redthumbs included

This is the bit I find funny, Markie posts this comment^^^^^^, then when I post asking "so what has changed with no red thumbs" and he goes straight into slanging ruining the place????. lol
Funny stuff.
Thanks crew for the PM's pointing this out. Hilarious

Anyway, back on topic, get rid of the greens also, why have them at all ?????????
They dont prove that what someone has said is good info one little bit.

For instance, if someone posts something and 6 people hit the green, almost filling the green bar,
but 20 000 people think its not a true statement but cant change the green status by hitting the red.
Apparently the "noobs" are a bit stupid and can only tell if the comments on the topics "Best detergent" , "A good sharts a dead shart" , "Things that go together", are true or not only by a green thumb. lol.

Greens are useless without reds, so kill the greens too .

we need a poll that just says exactly this.

BUT well make it a green thumb red thumb poll with the reds disabled so then the poll will be 100% "greens are useless without reds." after only 6 votes and no other poll possibility

There was a week when I believed Aliens were red-thumbing me.

I think I was slowly losing my mind at the time.

Yes no information to be gained by green thumbs, other than that someone actually read your post. Why not present the informtion of the old system, but in a nicer way. How bout just green thumbs but with the six divisions indicating the percentage green of the total thumbs? Say you get 100 thumbs. If 0 to 16 were green, one green bar, .... 84 to 100 green you get a saturated 6 bar full green.

However I can think of a couple of people who are deliberately inflammatory, abuse people

Wow, ^^^

You see, the red thumbs ban has pretty much given Markie an open licence to troll and make out-of-line accusations.

At least when we had red thumbs,

a quick red signal could be thumbed to flag all his douchebaggery.

I vote for compulsory red/green thumbs -- you can't see the name of the person who posted until you give one or the other.

what they do in computer games (where you can either work together or fight against eachother) theyll have a toggle or button. if you dont have the toggle on "attack mode" then you cant attack anyone else and no one else can attack you. but if you do have the "attack button" toggled then you can attack others who also have it turned on but not those who dont.

so can we get a system where those little princesses who cant handle a few views that arent there own are unable to be thumbed, UNLESS they have thumbed someone else, then its on for young and old.

this is a pretty common game design concept and seems to work relatively well, i think it might solve your problems Laurence, cant say ive ever seen it on a forum before you might just become the new reddit

tldr (to long did not read .... for you dinosaurs out there on your radical surfcraft of yesteryear) you cant be thumbed unless you have thumbed.
