Friggen motorbikes. Like that one on the news here a few months ago getting pinched from the airport that was later found in Rockingham. I've had a similarly rare one pinched, never recovered, and they had a go at the one I got to replace it just the other day.
I got my 3 daughters bikes for Christmas. Some lowlife actually came into my backyard and wheeled the only adult size one out the side gate whilst we were gardening out the front. Wish the greyhound had been out there instead on with us, she's unusually aggressive with anyone unknown on our property.
About 2 months ago we woke up about 5:45am (daylight) to the dog going mental (greyhounds basically only bark if there is something really bothering them, otherwise completely silent, so when you hear her you jump outta bed!) and I went to the backdoor. I thought she has seen a rat and kind of egged her on whist I was walking down the hall and yelled "get the rat girl!". There was a bloke with a high vis vest on standing on my back porch - in my backyard. I grabbed the dog who was snarling and went to open the door to see what was happening as I thought he was a tradie at the wrong site.
As i opened the door I noticed he had a technical axe in one hand and a 12" screwdriver in the other, he was backing away being scared of the dog and I kinda said "wtf?" or something along those lines. He then turned an ran out my rear gates that he had opened up and jumped into a waiting car. I think he thought I was referring to him when I yelled "get the rat!" and then proceeded to march down the hallway revving the dog up.
Lucky that night the kids were on a sleep over as we had been to a party the previous night. Often my 9 year old will open the back door for the dog to go out being that she gets up so damn early.
Wonder what his plan was if we didn't have a scary dog and I didn't jump out of bed acting like a (unintentional) crazy man.
Maybe he was scared of a naked bloke![]()
Pawn shops paying 50 bucks for top phones That's a hit for any thief. The real thieves are the ones we vote for. They break into your bank account every time you get paid
In my experience people scum will steal anything from a building site from the copper in the walls to the plants in the garden I would say they are funding a habit, also on this forum I've read that illegal immigrants are stealing jobs, politicians are stealing oxygen and kitesurfers are stealing waves.
You want to steal someting from a building site ?
You want to walk into a shopping centre & shoot somebody ?
Dress as a 22nd century ninja .
Wear fluro.
OHS has made people invisible.
Everyone is in fluro & has hat etc .
Mate they are driving around in trucks following a delivery & loading up nobody is seeing people in fluro .
This is a true story.
Truck delivery 10 mins later New truck unloads fluro crew it's on a truck & gone.
A person can walk up to a ute take tools out & walk off in fluro.
Especially in busy area's major construction .
Just have a fluro spotter wearing a hard hat doing nothing.
It's not like they stand out

Too true i have worked around minesites and I reckon they would notice someone in plain clothes and thongs before someone in the proper gear which sort of makes a mockery of wearing high viz.

Would have been intimidating for sure... ![]()
Yamaha 15hp 2 stroke - had the "DNA ID" - no luck so far.
[Perhaps a rego system for outboards would make it turn up]
Depends on the thief:
Kids: Steal for the thrill of it. Opportunistic
Junkie: To fund a habit. Will steal anything if they make a small profit.
Organised: Similar to the junkie but generally much smarter. Building sites, ciggie shops, collectible cars, bikes, boats, caravans...
Corrupt: The gunnemt. Steals everything and can't be prosecuted!
