Doesn't help when Russia is the president of the Security Council in the UN.
Time for a re-vamp of the UN.![]()
Guys guys guys...do you need constant reminding?
"Just a reminder that Seabreeze is for Watersports and light hearted banter.
It's an escape from political issues, religious wars, corporate/medical theories, conspiracies, vaccine opinions etc.
Seabreeze was built to get you out on the water more, doing the sport you love, and discussing it with like minded people so you can share the stoke, gear, techniques, ideas.
We opened "General Discussion" as a water cooler kind of area.
There are a squillion sites that invite your commentary on covid, vaccines, the prime minister, big Pharma - perhaps that is the place to go and discuss that stuff?
Our thing is water sports, and "general discussion" is for light hearted, fun, helpful banter."
Guys guys guys...do you need constant reminding?
What's your favourite Tom Hanks movie?
I think most movies would be better if he was in it.
Doesn't help when Russia is the president of the Security Council in the UN.
What does Russia want exactly? I haven't paid enough attention. I doubt they want to gain territory.
Is it just to remove the conflict that they have had for years with Ukraine?
*Oh yeah, has anyone bought a new kite this year.

It is about territory, Putin thinks Ukraine is 'Russian'

so I Googled that :
"What is the poorest country in Europe?"

I think most movies would be better if he was in it.
I'm reserving my judgement until the movie about this war, starring Tom Hanks, is made.
Will this turn out to be like that time the media told us Russia was invading Georgia but the truth was Georgia turned on their own citizens in South assetia for wanting to join Russia.
Every time Ukraine wants to start a ****fight they just turn the gas off or at least threaten to do so. Instinctively I imagine Ukraine has cast the first stone but with Australia's retarded political ties the truth will meander a long road before it gets to us.

so I Googled that :
"What is the poorest country in Europe?"

maybe just a lot of potential? and money leaves the country.
I was interested in the following:
4th world's largest manufacturer of rocket launchers; .....9th place in the world in exports of defence industry products;
might help them to keep some of this gear.
Okay, so Ukraine has a lot of resources.
Was it/is it a stable country politically?
Don't mention the P word... shhhh...
With the resources, history and location, the region has always been volatile and somewhat in dispute. Might always be that way unfortunately, maybe summed up saying the big boys of East & West have always liked to have controlling interests that aren't necessarily aligned with the local, traditional populations.
As tough as life has been in the EU over the last few years, I doubt the nations of Europe have any desire to return to post WW2 politics & economies. This land grab by Putin has most likely been timed while his perceived foe in the west is weakened, politicly and financially tired from the drain of the pandemic; look at the current pressure many of leaders and their budgets are under in the region. Putin has made it clear he wishes to see a return to policies of past regimes (Tsars, USSR, Bla, Bla, Bla), I'd imagine as far as he's concerned, a return to cold war footings is a good thing for an expansionist Mother Russia. However the main players in NATO are likely to escalate their actions quicker than history suggests as this is on their back door as opposed to deepest Africa. Add to this WW2 is a recent history and not taken lightly.
Also read up on the winter war, I've found it informing to compare the real-time with what happened between Finland & the USSR last century. Plenty of temporal Deja vu with the current situation and general propaganda being thrown around by both sides.
Ukraine ranks: 1st in Europe
I think that might be the crux of the issue.
Some people wouldn't say Ukraine is in Europe.
I think it is a bit like when you grab the dogs tail and smack the cat the in the face, thinking the cat will scratch the dog and you can smirk about the cat and dog not liking each other while you feign all innocence.
You pretend to think the cat thinks the dog did it. But the cat knows and the dog knows and you know it wasn't the dog that did it.
Except in this case the cat is a bear. And bears don't lose interest in who hit them in face as easy as cats.
Just hope the person flicking the dogs tail had plan when the bear smacks back. But somehow I doubt it.
Russia said the want to free Ukraine from the current Nazi leadership......
So does that make them the good guys?
Simple fix
Put a very large price on his execution or capture
In the 100s of millions, a syndicate will take the offer
His entourage will be soon feeling the pinch from freezing of overseas accounts and assets

Yes the sanctions are designed to upset and anger old mates oligarch mates .
The worrying part is what psyco will then have control of the big red button when putin is gonski

You need to get out of the youtube/telegram/covid rabbit hole
All those Russians protesting against the war are far from the gronks you celebrate waving trump flags in Canberra...
the only thing retarded is your thought process ,let us think ,maybe the Ukraine threatened the gas to keep old nut bag at arms length from doing what he is doing now...you know,so putin could keep those billions coming in ...but I know ,your rabbit hole of information has told you something different lol
The mainstream media is not as dangerous as the rot you are being brainwashed with
I do love when when someone says I imagine as if it is fact though lol

Worth a read if you can be bothered with 280 pages of fairly dense text is
The Dictators Handbook (Why Bad Behaviour Is Almost Always Good Politics)
Written by a couple of political science academics, it describes how despots AND democratic governments maintain power through fear and favours.

Weird is also something people should look into
Western, educated, industrialized, rich and democratic
First things they took control of where Chernobyl and diamond mines.
Actually, Chernobyl and the bioweapons facilities the Yanks were running.
They only took chernobyl as the contamination there leads itself to dirty bomb production by a citizen resistance or desperate (losing) military later on. Its a simple tactical move I dunno why the media are making so much of it.
I'm not seeing many of the hairy smelly types from the COVID protests, the whale protests, the forest protests etc ......? Whole bunch of Ukrainian ex-pats protested in australia, a nice mum n dad gathering.
I mean, the cops arrested a bloke in Perth for not wearing a mask at his business and there was 10,000 frothing comments on FB and protests and vitriolic comments abut nazi police etc etc - within hours.
Not seeing the same crew protesting this immense violent action? Oh thats right, communism is something to aim for, isn't it hairy lefties...?
