I am very reluctant to draw scientific conclusions
on limited samples observations.

But it strikes me that mine main
Macro enemies ( Fn & Cranatok)
posts ( completely not related to Macro)
becomes recently ( in last year or two)

Much longer, sophisticated , thoughtful etc.
I could hardly call them even Macro enemies-
Since Macro hate only ignorance and stupidity.

So here it is mine recent hypothesis
now worth of peer review and testing.
Lets assume that recent (so hated) mRNA vaccination stipulate human brain activity !

Lets forget about other side effects of the anti covid vaccination that people been fascinated now
like sexual performance, fertility or muscles efficiency.

Lets test the theory and see how your brain, your mates and general public awareness
was effected since taking mRNA anti covid vaccination.

Disclaimer* Macro is not sponsored now by any of those nukleozyd manufacturers
but for pure curiosity lets to do this last brain effort
if there is any connection between this two ?:

Vaxx and brain??

Obviously if we found be a chance that there is statistical correlation
we need further investigate if positive improvement was attributed to other
factors : like physical activity, food, more time spend on computers reading , even
Covid itself

Another part of research could be comparison to this part of society
that didn't' participate in jabbing.

Are they now more retarded in comparison to jabbed? or always have been?

Or the opposite and now there are spewing scientific papers , getting Nobles and dominated Universities?

PS. Please be polite in responses because whole topic becomes compositional
and Larry will close the topic before even started!

I am not sure I am comfortable being a common enemy with Crakantoc. Haven't you heard the phrase "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"?

Although in this case I don't consider you an enemy Macro, so it doesn't apply. How could you be my enemy? It's like being angry at a bee buzzing around your head. It may hate you, but do you hate it? No, I don't think so.

You should update your list of enemies. Maybe send them a greeting card to check on their status? Maybe something like "Hi, it's Macro. I noticed that you appear to be good enemy material, and I would like to be your enemy too. If you feel the same, please let me know? We could be enemies together and catch up for enemy wars every now and then. Please write back."

That would work. You would soon find out who wants to be your enemy and who can afford the postage. No point having enemies that cannot afford stamps and a card at Christmas time.

Now, I don't want to dissapoint you, but I haven't actually read anything much at all of your last 30 or 40 posts in the last few days. They are just too disordered. I would say that could be a side-effect of Covid, but I felt the same well before Covid and I am pretty sure I will feel the same after.

Don't worry about Larry. He is probably not even filtering for his name on the forum. Similarly 'angry monkey' won't be bothered either.

Please send all enemy requests to Crackantoc. I have 'hidden' his posts, so I won't be able to see his responses, but I am sure he will be your enemy. He seems to have the sufficient level of angry that is required for the position.

Yep,
I don't feel like have any enemies by now.
Maybe they are all died on COVID?
That could be point to confirm my hypothesis, that Covid may speed up human evolution and eliminate deficient individuals.
No, there must be plenty of Macro enemies, hidden there, because Macro is so contravention , but unfortunately/luckily Macro enemies don't read Macro post , so can not be insulted by Macro. Monkey doesn't count, his place is in ZOO, so outside MacroScope.

As to the Macro disorder ( in posted text) , that is a bit intentional.

We had some dispute ( on other forum) regarding Theory of Chaos. I proposed to leave Chaos as it is , just index it ( like database don't need to put all records in order)
The smart person may then find everything in this chaos quickly. Proposal was commonly accepted....btw

Heck, I've been skipping posts for ages, unless they're quoting me. I might have to use that hide feature though. Might miss out on a good post in the Funny Images thread though, that'd suck.

Macro, Instead of obsessing about things you can not change, why not obsess about things you can ?

I've had a look at your gybing on ka72 from your session at Southport yesterday:

www.ka72.com/Track/t/503871

What is going on here ?. Why are you doing orange peel gybes ?. We have both been sailing approx the same time now (14 years for me). You should have this sorted.

I have never sailed Southport QLD, but if it's got murder chop (like Boggy Lake has) in open waters, then I can understand bad gybes on slalom gear, but the spot in the screenshot below is in lee of a sandbar. This should be butter smooth water here. The gear (any gear) should virtually gybe itself in this water state.

It's almost like you are sheeting out half way through the gybe ?

Nb/ I should flash up a sailplay video to see what you're doing in playback mode.

It's 30 Dec 2022 today; why don't you make it your new years resolution to:

a) No more posting crack pot conspiracy theories on SB,
b) No more orange peels.

I'm more than happy to share my knowledge with anybody.

Interesting observations.
I have own explanations of my banana gybes here. You on the open water have unlimited space and consistent wind. Here we have opposite.
Very limited space. Few meters more down wind and you finish scraping the sand at shallows.
So I prefer to end gybe curve asap.
The next is wind. You can not believe that you have 25 ktn in one place and zero few meters later or even wind in other direction. So my alpha gybes are at full speed 25 ktn and stalling because there isn't enough wind even to waterstart .
We have huge sky scrapers that shape that wind pattern on the water. Sometimes it helps in extreme wind condition because when hurricane hit in some places there are no wind at all. I could sail 8.0 all year round. In fact I sail 7.8 almost all your round. When you are at speed wind 30 ktn doesn't matter anymore becouse you have only 100 meters and wind die again.
The next thing that you could not see on satellite track is obstruction everywhere. You constantly need to gybe between moored boats, speeding jetskis, hundreds of winglers and kiters, ice cream kiosks and duckies full of tourists, crab pot lines and buoys.

The last could be short distance. Any wider gybe and you have difficulty to get to same place again and again.
Another is equipment I use. Board is sinker ( 20 liters below ) with 30 cm fin only and any wind drop mean instant speed drop to halt completely . Short fin doesn't allow to get up end in the place you started in that chop.
The funny orange peeling gybes are made in funny place. Place where almost nobody attempt to gybe at all. Rather stop and do beach start Place when water is knee deep but waves 0.5 to 1 meter height and almost no wind. Funny exit shape indicated exactly wave pattern. deep dense trough 1 meter high every another meter or two, Once you survive turn on that stuff you want to get out asap without jumping next one. I usually gybe a bit further in deep water canal, but at this time of the year it is kamikaze move. boats will get you in no time. I found extremely satisfying to be able to finish gybe in place like that.

As to the waters surface you will be surprise how bad it could be. On the open water you have big swell easy to predict and repeatable. Here we have short but high chop in all direction created by constant speed boats and jetskis.
Yep I may have thousand excuses but you are right , there is room for improvement. The best should be proper gybe clinic with master instructor telling you what are you doing wrong .
You are welcome to Gold Cost, we meet at The Train and sail!!
You show me your gybes I show mine.

Ps. The concept mRNA effecting brain function isn't intended as any conspiracy theory. Because nobody here intended to develop drug modifying brain function. By pure coincidence it could be a case and that is ma call to make observation in this direction. Viagra rings a bell ? Sometime Macro found itself to be way ahead of time with his ideas. We need now to wait at least 5 years for any side effects of mRNA to be fully assessed. But you can not assess if you are not looking at direction I pointed.
Read the space here on SB in five years from now. Oops. Most threads besides Funny images will be archived. So just remember Macro.

It's rare that I jump to Macro's defence, but I agree with him. The location and conditions make a huge difference to learning.

I remember someone trying to teach water starts in a place with poor wind and a steep dropoff. It was impossible. Then I went to a place with nice steady wind and a shallow beach and it became very easy.

Similarly with gybes, I was part of a group that was always trying to learn to carve gybe, but the conditions were always difficult. I then went on holiday to a place with much better wind and shallow water and carve gybes were much much easier to do. Plus with the open space I could go from a nice wide gybe with nothing in the way and gradually get better and better.

Maybe Macro should go on a windsurfing holiday for a few weeks? To a location with nice wind and few obstructions?

I then went on holiday to a place with much better wind and shallow water and carve gybes were much much easier to do. Plus with the open space I could go from a nice wide gybe with nothing in the way and gradually get better and better.

Maybe Macro should go on a windsurfing holiday for a few weeks? To a location with nice wind and few obstructions?

Yep,
That is my plan for Year 2023 : 25ktn alphas PB.

It was also plan for 2020, 21. 22 ....

OK where to go? L?deritz ??

I would recommend Perth, but.... it's full!

You are right,
Chop is easy excuse
Because same time, sama place
And
mates do 23 to 25 ktn alpha daily.
But not everybody was born on surf board.

On another hand I saw few times already geniuses visitors leaving our spot on streaches , in ambulance .
Luckily our surf club provide us with full insurance cover for moderate cost.
Imagine that! You scrap the paint of the millionere yacht and you don't need to pay a cent !
How good is that?
They could even wash your blood from speed boat for free.
Yep. You pay only for anglers fishing lines and hooks you took under your skin. Yep there are serious people, get you with roaring dingy even on the beach or rigging grass lot.

If you still thinking about visiting our beautiful Gold Coast
I have quick tutorial guide for you.

1.First and foremost. Don't bring your wife/girl to the sailing spot with you.
Under no circumstances she could see that your newest sail costs more then her bag or shoes.
You are died.
You can leave her at a shopping mall- which means anywhere on Gold Cost.
Tell her simply , you want her to go with you on but there are water spiders everywhere there.
You are done !

2.What sails take with you ? Yep that is important. You need for Gold Conditions the more recent Gucci sails and Prada board to match.
The colors in fashion are now blue and rainbow. You could be barefoot but without right sail you cant go far here.

3.Fin recomandation !
Don't bother at all.
Nobody could see your fancy Carbon Fibre Z-fin once you in the water.
Beside you are going to loose half of it on the crab pots and shallows
by the end of day.

4.Right of way on the water
If you still think in old categories: Right-Left, Starboard-Port, Green-Red
forget all this crap.
Rule of the thumb. The bigger and faster have always right of way.
That apply to all boats /yachts you will see ( too late unfortunately most of the time ) .
Which translate more expensive is free to go , you wait.

As to the other wind gliders there are only two rules:

a) either you are above 120 kg

b) of display karate black belt
now you could go, people make room for you.

5.Winglers be aware !
If you are wingler you will be in good company here, don't worry.
All you need to do is find a square meter still free of other wing gliders and you could sail whole day long

6> Kitesurfers
If you want to talk to our very friendly Gold Coast kite surfers,
buy yourself a ticket to Bali first.
But you are in luck if you want to sail here, 90% of Broadwater is too shallow for windsurfers so you can enjoy the lot.
Hight tide, low tide.
Just don't jump over polies. Windsurfers mast are higher that you think at first, then is too late.
They will beat you, they will smash your board to pieces and cut lines to macaroni spaghettis.

7.Crab Pots .The most important, Should be first.

DO NOT ARGUE WITH CRAB POTS !
Crab pot is always right ( even if is not ! ( like your wife/girl) )
Crab pot could be everywhere and always had right of way .
Arguing with crab pots get you your fin missing and your front teethes too.

8. Wind
to check actual wind speed
look at the Macro on the water

a) Macro submerged - Mean wind below 7 Bofourt - you can go sail now

b) Macro sailing and few others too - take sailing on your own risk

c) Macro planning - possibly wind too strong, get day off
go for a beer to the pub nearby.

9 Sharks ?
Everybody know that they are there
below
ready to eat you.
So don't think about it
at all.
Just try not to fall the gybe, stay above water all the time . Finish your run deep on the sandy beach.
Just I beg you! DONT THINK ABOUT SHARKS! DONT THINK ABOUT SHARKS !

Repeat the mantra few times and your jibes improve in no time at all !

10. Anglers
If you are really too poor to buy anything floating with wind on water,
then Gold Coast is the best place for you too be.

You need a ride on borrowed boat to the middle sandbank , get you kids and wife too.
Throw the longest line you have across water , so nobody could pass.
Ooopls. I mean no windsurfing mob can not but boats with propellers are excluded. You are not going to get any fish here , but I promise whole family absolute fun. Teach your kids that magic words every time windsurfers touch your lines.
Get few stones and try your luck, aim for head, if no sail is good also.

11.House on the water
If you still have any houseboat that didn't sink you are the lucky to be on Gold Coast.
There is plenty of water to anchor your house and all for free of charge. Just remember the living on the water is not healthy for you so when buying a house on the land
do so at reasonable distance. You need to come every week ( 7 day) to move your floating coffin to different location
in accordance to marine law. Take you time then , relief a bit, nobody is looking where the surrige is going and crabs that anglers will eat later love that stuff from your bottom end.
You need to anchor properly to swing perfectly cover the sailing runway. Spare dinghy with extra long lead attached will help
to teach the lesson windthingies here.

12.TIDES
there are only two on Gold Coast
Too LOW- tide when water is too shallow for you to sail
Too HIGH -tide- sandbanks are covered and chop too big for you to sail, stay home

13.

thanks Zak for movie. Zak is our windsurfing instructor, Wingging now !
14.

thank you Phill for the move. Phil is one of our best speed surfers, You could meet him on the mountain bike ride mostly
15.

Thank you Justin for the movie. Justin is our Jumping Genius guy.

If the guy advertise you are going to die soon , what is the point of his prepping? Stocking 3 kerosene lamps, jars with food, blocking windows with flag from nuclear blast radiation ?
Why not to go and enjoy the rest of life we have?
Theorrtically I could imagine following scenario.
Putin get bizzak one day and say aloud.
Enough is enough. I am going now to press that red button exactly 12pm at New Year . Actually already did and is already set.
Interesting will be people reaction if they all know that have only 7 days left and not a minute more!
We could substitute Putin with asteroid, but this days nobody trust scientists so Putin is more beleivable.
We are lucky here can go windsurfing whole 7 days and nights in the row.
Poor Europe and US is frozen, remaining 7 days will be wasted completely.
How would you spend last 7 days on Earth?

Lets test the theory and see how your brain, your mates and general public awareness

Ok. Fair enough. Thanks for the videos. The Train looks like an awesome spot and is in metro. It sounds similar to a place called Sugars Landing (Murray Mouth), although Sugars is in whoop whoop, but still has the sand bars, the jetskiers, the a/hole fishos, boats, drenchers, swimmers, and floating barriers. Not sure when I could make it over to your side. Probably once the youth crime wave is fixed

I sail many different places in SA. Most spots in SA aren't ideal for learning gybes. BTW: That 31kt 2sec peak you did in the session above is awesome. I'm very envious. For me to get over 30kt in summer time, it's a 2.5 hr drive to the other side of the gulf, or a 6hr drive to LG, or 1.5hr to Boggy (in certain conditions, and even then, Boggy isn't great). The Train is metro. How good is that ?

Regarding last point: we are both hairy bum no bodies. What can we possibly do that will change the world ?. Let me tell you: Nothing !. A few more decades, and we'll be forgotten about. This is why I think it's important for you to nail your gybes and not sweat over mRNA topics. Let the big knobs work it out.

Does that mean 28kt in the middle of Botany Bay (the choppiest part) on camless freeride is a reasonable effort? (I don't enjoy sailing close to the airport runway where the speed guys like to go.)

Gold Coast guide tutorial continue
I almost forget about iconic Gold Coast adventure.

16 .Jetski !
Yep, You just bought the that flashy thing and want to try here
You are in a bit bad lucky , mate.

We have two signs on the water.
5 ktn and 45 ktn

5ktn It means that in places that pelicans cross that dump you need to slow down below
But there is > 45Ktn area most of the time !
It means that you need to keep your speed above 45 ktn all the time.
You slow down and our water police give you a ticket for slowing the traffic and blocking water ways.

So unless you can afford turbo or nitro at least , forget it Gold Coast is not for you.

16a Jetski with donut.
There are exception to the rule above.
If you have a wife then need update for newer
and you want to rid off completely ,
or too many kids , you can throw and drown them here.

Get your donut ready and press nitro pedal to the metal.
Extra bonus for mowing wind gliders.

Which I warn you will not be easy.

Most of them could jump over your lines, duck under or simply outrun you !

17.Boating
Nothing beat the boating experience here on Gold Coast.
I mean experience for audience on the beach
watching you making stupid ****t on water

18. Helicopter ride !
Yep, that is the best if you love the water ( to watch)
but hate to be in one.
Thanks to our extensive heli-birds offer for hire
you could now enjoy a view of our
Windsurfers below gliding on slight breeze !
What could be more relaxing to view/watch ( beside Porn Hub) ?

.

Yep, the view from heli is so infectious that you have to
close, shut the eyes of your kids on heli.

They will get into wind water sports instantly and
never , never never go fishing or boating with you again !
This is our worst /best Gold Coast Porn you can watch !

I've never sailed there, but I think it would be choppy in any closed water bay in 28kt. I'd probably be on wave gear if it was that bad as the board can be whipped around quickly in short chop and have more in control. At Boggy lake (the worse place I know for chop), I use a hybrid setup. I use a very small powerful freeride sail, and a free wave board (inside straps) with a largish pointer fin (see avatar). I smash over the short chop in 30kt wind, broad reach and with minimal spin outs. The board is mostly airborne. Gybing isn't great, but still achievable. I wouldn't have the nuts to do this on normal slalom or freeride gear, as this gear would turn me back into a beginner and I would be doing orange peels. So, I guess the gear makes a difference to suit the water state. Most of the guys in Adelaide sail metro waters on wave gear. Very rarely do I see freeride or slalom gear, due to the wind and water state. We don't get waves in Adelaide (except for the southern beaches).

Thanks for the videos again Macro. The jetskier looks like a 10 year old trapped in a 28 YO body. But who am I to judge ?. The 2nd: 2:03 is the best. As the saying goes - "steady as she goes" . Not sure if the guy standing on the pontoon was the owner of the boat or the passenger ?

I can imagine how crazy Jervis Bay might get. I've been out in a genuine 50 kt southerly a couple times on Botany Bay and the constantly rising and falling troughs and peaks from the interference pattern of the swell and chop mean that the water just falls away from beneath you, with the wind under the board holding you mid-air for a bit. It's pretty pointless aside from trying it for the sake of doing so. Hard to do much more than about 12 kt in those conditions because even that small amount of board speed has you constantly launching.

Yep I went once ( in my lifetime )
on 50 -? 60 70 more ?? Ktn wind here on Gold Coast.
People been hugging trees here in the Marine Parade Park.

To be fair the scariest part was to rig the stuff and the walk trough grass 50 meter to the water.
4.2 Naish on 370 mast, 72L Naish wave board 27 cm fin

Once you in the water , knee deep , nothing really matter any more. You finely stick the board to water surface and its stay there.
Water surpassingly flat, you guess only.
Because in fact you could not see the front end of your board. Wind stir the water and transform into constant fog. I could sail now safely because I know that 200 meters in front is another sand bank in the middle I could stop.

Should I attempt to gybe? Nope. I could never recover my board and rig from Gold Coast sky scraper scraper.
So easy beach start again in know deep water, few runs like that I am done.

Is it true? Or is it legend or Macro imagination only?
who knows .
But a pair of Chinese tourist asked me for a photo selfie together on my way to water.
They wanted to have something in hand for tomorrow news media release
showing the wreck of windsurfer splashed onto house boat here.
Yep My mistake , in all excitement I forgot to get my GPS.
BTW my 2s speed in 60 ktn winds didn't exceed 20 ktn, for sure.

Nothing is better then Gold Coast
Because you could sail whole year long
in your tee shirt and wetties
don't need wetsuit
or booties.
As to other things
probably everything is better
in Sydney.
Nope, At Gold Coat you could live 10 min to the beach
if you want private acreage like mine
or 0.5 min if you want apartment at
Marine Parade next to beach.
Sydney is too big and time you can spend on the water
you need to spend in traffic. I know the pain because I use to live in Melbourne Metro.
From Chadstone to the Ricket Points or Mentone beach you drive 45 min on good day one way,
then you found that you forget some essential : boom? harness? mast?

O ye You could go to opera in Sydney every day ! But on Gold Coast you could sing yourself and nobody cares.

Goldie Lock? Is it how they call it? Cairns is too hot, Sydney too cold. Gold Coast is just right.
OOOps. You may consider Birssy, that have more options but on good day
guys from Brissy come to us to make 40 ktn at The Train not vice verse.

Ooo. One more to Consider L.G.
Lake George is so far from Gold Coast that you will never go there
in your life time. Like me for example. Like another planet to reach.
Unless you could drive 30 hours non stop. But if you have been already to L.G. then possibly you don't need to go there anymore. All PB done

Oops, I meant recording a sailing speed of 28 kt in the choppy water. Might be easier if I wasn't a flyweight.

That's impressive

Are you into racing and gambling ?
Yep , you heard right.
Gold Coast is World Capital of Gambling
ok maybe only Mecca at our Down Under .

But anyway
Bring your dogs here I release mine hound dogs, lets racing begin.
I bet $100 mine dogs will eat yours on breakfast.

Tony will do 30ktn on foil in any farts wind here on The Train
24, alpha and 200km in one day!
what your Blood Hound Dog can do ?

Want Wingy Challenge ?
Yep Our Cheng do 27 ktn winging hands down,
you try better that , my friend.

Been thinking of heading north in the next couple of years. An essential requirement is a good sailing location and your place looks great, but is the gold coast rat-race any better than the one in Sydney?

Nothing is better then Gold Coast
Because you could sail whole year long
in your tee shirt and wetties
don't need wetsuit
or booties.
As to other things
probably everything is better
in Sydney.
Nope, At Gold Coat you could live 10 min to the beach
if you want private acreage like mine
or 0.5 min if you want apartment at
Marine Parade next to beach.
Sydney is too big and time you can spend on the water
you need to spend in traffic. I know the pain because I use to live in Melbourne Metro.
From Chadstone to the Ricket Points or Mentone beach you drive 45 min on good day one way,
then you found that you forget some essential : boom? harness? mast?

17.Boating
Nothing beat the boating experience here on Gold Coast.
I mean experience for audience on the beach
watching you making stupid ****t on water

Just a further note: I watched the above video from start to finish, because I wanted to see the lady pictured above have a technical failure her bra. But I was had, because this was a photo still at the very last part of the video. Obviously a ploy to make every hetro watch video from start to finish ?. I don't know if I should be annoyed about that, but it was a great video anyway
