Devo at Festival Hall.
It's been a while for most of us the last time we saw live music.
I have seen thousands of gigs in my lifetime, and the last time was as memorable as my first.
I was lucky enough to be in Mallacoota and attended MG's last ever public appearance. It was by no means my favourite line-up, but the concert was up there with some of the best events I've ever attended.
Icehouse with Sharon Oneill opening. That was the day I found out she was a solo artist, not Sharon and Eel as my 8 year old mind had always imagined. Truly gutted. Icehouse was good though.
ABBA
Perth Entertainment Centre March 11 1977 I was 10 years old
The one that had the bomb hoax
I was actually happy about it as I didn't like the mini rock opera they where preforming
Metallica 91
I never understood Metallica until I saw them in 2004. They put on a great live show. The docco they did around the time made me believe spinal tap was a true story.
The next concert I went to was way better
Peter Tosh in Swaziland December 1983 "Mama Africa tour"
Kind of funny seeing all the boneheads drop to the ground when he swung out a guitar shaped like a AK 47
The air was thick with the smell of Ganja
Ha ha ha... ABBA.....
Cliff Richard and the Shadows. About 1963 at The Colosseum Johannesburg. I think ,God it was so long ago.(Big sigh)

Yeah I saw them again.....but I have to say Pantera and Sepultura were the best concerts I have been to.
Rolling Stones was the first big one. I figured they wouldn't be around much longer given how ancient they were...
That was 1993.

Brisbane ? if so I was there also
The Angels early 1980's at Newcastle Workers Club before the earthquake knocked it down. Still the loudest band I've ever seen.
About 1970, Sydney Showgrounds, The Kinks in the Lola days but they were completely upstaged by their curtain raisers Daddy Cool.
London Philharmonic Orchestra - Colston Hall, Bristol
Seems I am the only one here with any culture ?

Envious, I never got to see a big reggae artist.
Split Enz
Yep me too as a 12 y.o. ....1981 Rockhampton Showgrounds, much to the disdain of my older sisters. Right up the front hanging off the security fence. Most memorable moment was when they played I see Red.
