Or that casual racism is accepted as 'comedy'.
Not much to it. 'Cauncy' posted a photo of a railway station named after me, so I simply thought it would be fun to return the favour.
Unfortunately, there is no 'Cauncy Station'. The closest I could find was 'Chauncey'. I copied and pasted the guy from his photo into mine just to make it more humorously obvious that I had ripped-off his idea.
As to the reason for Cauncy's original post, I'd assumed it was a light-hearted way of questioning of my earlier flippant comment about 'bopping' cyclists with a pool noodle, since he is a cyclist. I thought doing so by finding a photo of someone with a pensive look on their face and altering it so they appear to be saying my name while apparently musing over what I had said was rather clever.
Still, the guy in the photo appears not to be of caucasian decent, so you could assume the post is racist. (Which ironically is the actual racist act.)

Ah, got it. Calling out a racist picture is actually being racist...
Nice mental gymnastics.

It's the assumption that a caucasian posting a picture that contains a non-caucasian is being racist that is racist.
(I would be genuinely interested to know how anyone could have possibly interpreted the picture I posted as being racist. It's totally beyond me, which is why I say that calling it racist is being racist...I simply can't think of any other reason for doing so.)

Riiiight.
It's so much more obvious to apply this Occam's razor to the image...

Occam's razor requires a simpler explanation, which is why I asked for the racist interpretation of my picture. Do you have one?
^^ Your name is fundamentally racist. It's sounds like a Chinese person trying to say "Hello". ![]()

Well, at least I now understand why the local take away always knows it's me calling, even though I have caller ID turned off.

Lots of comments in an images thread, but how do we know what racial background Harrow is? We don't and just assume that photo is of him and then making judgements on what his race is. If it is him, the tongue thing suggests its a long lost extinct race (I hope).
Its funny isn't it that a lot of people do not look at race at all, yet then get called out on it because they have used something supposedly not in their racial group, by someone probably trying to show how bad someone else is... Which is terrible as its drawaing attention to someone's race when we shouldn't care at all.
Now if someone were pointing out an individual and making poor comments about them, that's different, but that's not the case with this one. I think kiterboy is really pointing to Cauncy's post, but not understanding your reply. I think kiterboy's comments are valid for Cauncy's post.

Winner winner, chicken dinner.
I understood the 'Chauncey' reply from Hello, but was replying to the question of the other guy who didn't get it, to point out the accepted casual racism by the mods.

My guess is that the mods don't spend every day looking at every thread and every post and then deleting what they find offensive. It is up to someone to flag it and then they can look at it. Not deleting it does not mean that they accepted it. It could mean they accepted it or they just didn't see it. I suspect Cauncy's posts get deleted regularly.

This is the most offensive post I have seen in a long time!!
no wonder I am such a crap handyman
