just imagine.....

$1,000 worth of beer? so let's say 20 slabs of 24 cans at $50 each? 480 cans total.

a 375ml can weighs about 15 grams, means 7.2kg of aluminium total weight. scrap aluminium is at best worth about $1.50 per kg. so top price you're looking at is about $11 for that $1,000 investment.

qantas shares at their lowest in the past year or so were about $2.75. they've since pretty much doubled, so your grand investment is at least two grand now.
