I have no idea so sensible suggestions please for:
Toilet paper
Wipes
Pasta
Disafectant
Etc etc
How can we undermine the opportunists that deprive everyday people from necessities then resell ripping us off.
We need a strategy to make their reselling wothless.
Post on your FB sites on ideas to stop these opportunists.
This is a genuine serious strategy idea.
We could make it a name and shame.

Buy A4 print/copy paper and and keep folding and munching it around without breaking it until it becomes soft. Takes a long time but produces strong poo wipe.

Make it illegal to resell toilet paper. Government gives 48 hours notice, after which an automatic $500 fine per day is taken from any eBay or Gumtree account that continues to advertise sale of toilet paper above RRP. Better still, don't give any notice, simply start it from today. They deserve it, there's gotta be some existing archaic law they can pin on them.

Similar conditions for sanitising products, or anything else that is deemed to be taking advantage of the current global crisis.

Gotta be a guaranteed election winner. I'd vote for any government with the balls to do it.

Is it sensible and possible to put negative posts on resellers EBay, Gumtree etc sites?
Ideas please as legislation is too slow and ineffective.
Supermarkets restrictions are ineffective as they are out smarted by the opportunists.

It's not that hard. Do you know why Indians don't shake hands or eat with left hand?

Because that's the hand they use with water to wipe their arse. I had to do it once a long time ago when travelling and it actually works.

Not nice, but you know , good enough for 1 billion Indians

Rupert Murdoch has been producing several cheap ranges of toilet paper since the 1950's.

The range keeps growing, but the quality seems to get worse over time.

These are hard times HG, there will not be as many wipes available from each Murdoch "roll" with AAP shutting down.

Vinegar is an effective disinfectant for viruses as is any other mild acid - diluted hydrogen peroxide; lemon juice etc.
The corona virus is susceptible to detergent - plain old soap will do.

The virus may survive on an exposed surface indoors for some days so it's wise to regard everything as contaminated and wash your hands often. If you can't get hand gel (and who can) you can put a little white vinegar in a spritzer to squirt on your hands.

Make sure you add water. 70% alcohol + 30% water is a lot more efficient at destorying the virus apart than 100% alcohol.

I was under the impression that methylated spirits is no good for the hands. Need rubbing alcohol or isopropyl alcohol. Which incidentally is also sold out.

Dunny paper is a no brainer, it is a nice to have but we have many ways to clean up if you don't mind getting your hands a bit dirty. Just use your imagination. Keep some face washers handy, then wash them after. Like what we use to do for baby nappies.

Pasta is easy to make, just flour, eggs, water, milk, etc. Many types of recipes, all simple with basic ingredients. Flour is selling fast but still readily available everywhere.

Bread is easy too, but yeast is needed to make most bread, which is also selling quick or gone.

Can use many products as disinfectant such as bleach or vinegar. Both of these are selling fast. Vinegar is best around the home, bleach is only good in bathrooms or for your used face washers. Don't mix the two ingredients, it can be hazardous to your health.

Vodka might be a useful disinfectant for the mouth, throat, liver etc. Maybe this is why Russia is not having any problems.

Lots of home recipes for around the home can be googled. Many of the ingredients you will need are selling quickly, so if you need them get in quick before they sell out completely.

Correct, use isopropyl alcohol. Buy it from Jaycar for a fortune, or from an online beauty products wholesaler and get 5 litres for about $25.

I am curious, how do you know that?

My father used to apply metho, neat, to sores and scrapes. It was a painful upbringing! I was mentioning this to a work colleague whose father is a doctor and he said something similar, that you need to add water to make it more effective.

That's interesting and could potentially save me a bit as I go through quite a lot sterilising my mushroom grow room.
