Yeah, the guy in the middle is an idiot too. He thought it was hilarious.

I wonder what these guys would think if someone just randomly targeted them? Its not even remotely fair to hit someone like that, but I guess he figured there were no witnesses. Good to see that it was caught on CCTV.

I got coward punched and unconscious in hospital during company xmas dinner. It f**ked me up for while. Off work for week, then half days and come home tired straight to bed for month. A while to get confidence to do water sports.
Broken my nose, ribs forward looping. If i was in a fight - !
But a punch from behind.
Make an example of coward!

I guess I must be deficient in testosterone or something, but can someone explain to me why this happens? Why do people go around randomly bashing people, it's not a new thing. I had a friend get bashed within inches of his life 20 years go, just coming home from work. Totally unrecognisable and weeks in hospital. Very quiet guy who would never make smart alec comments or otherwise give anyone reason to target him. I can't begin to comprehend the mentality of people that do this. They don't deserve a place in society.

I think the 80's movie "Escape from New York" had a good solution for people like this.

If he doesn't get jail it sets a very dangerous precedent.

12 months and he'll be out with good behaviour in 4 months.

Separate assault a week previous, leaving another victim hospitalised with bleeding on the brain. Seriously, this is a regular thing for this guy???

Fast-forward to 58 seconds in the video...

What really riles me up about these things is it's always a few of them and it's always a single unaware and defenceless person, the guy should be getting charged for attempted murder.
Im sick of hearing oh he had a hard run or his wife left him or whatever bull**** excuse it is they use. Most of the time the reason all the bad things happened to them in the first place is cause they are a prick,,,,,,
Yeah well you see my client is a thoughtless insensitive prick who has a job with two other thoughtless insensitive pricks who think it's funny to hit defenceless unaware people.

The one the other week with the worst driver who has lost his licence 17 times or thereabouts and has killed people from his driving,,,, how does he get 17 opportunities in a row to keep doing it.... on the 18th time when he kills someone else let's hope it's not someone in anyone's family I know...
these pieces of **** should be housed next to the judges that approve their bail.
thats how a real society would handle it.

What about the poor elderly that get bashed with a home invasion . Its so sad to see these old people regularly on the news all bruised up and frightened , usually over $ 100 cash and some old war medals .
A public flogging in the city square for those f ..kers . Then ten years !

Build a town with the absolute barest of necessities in the middle of the desert with no roads in or out. Only way out or in is by air.
Dump them there and forget about them . Shoot down any unauthorised aircraft in the area.

I personally rue the day when the stocks disappeared from the justice system.

With the word coward neatly tattooed across his shaven head he should be secured by the ankles in a public place where passers by have the opportunity to fling bags of nicely matured entrails and pig feces at him whilst giving him a piece of their mind.

For quite a long time.

Before he goes to jail.

On his release he should be subjected to ten years of public service. If in that time he fails to demonstrate that he no longer should be held accountable for stealing oxygen the process should be repeated.

Come on guys. All we need is some understanding and mediation, some rehabilitation including many many pyschology sessions and all is well. Let's not stoop to the same violence that has been used in the first. Hey maybe the guy could get a degree or something in jail.

On this premise let's then spend ... millions of dollars of tax payers money to keep the non productive justices department including their ass licking lawyers in the money. Big business boys. Or

Hang the farker and be done with it. Bit of pine and some cheap rope should do it. Or a 60 cent bullet would be even cheaper.

Lucky for him none of us are in charge.

trust me when I say this lack of responsibility for ones actions starts way back at school and it's getting worse by the day.

I've spend many hours observing in the Magistrates Court recently. When you see how many ****wits there are facing similar or worse offences you soon realise that you can't build jails big enough to house them all. The media naming and shaming certainly plays a useful role.

As to whether a **ick like that should be jailed, your gut says of course they should. There's no way I'd ever want to be a magistrate.

There're all gutless cowards, who need to be put in the boxing ring and given a good "Tune Up" guaranteed the one in question would be on the canvass crying for his mummy after fifteen seconds.
Jail is just a diploma for more anti social behaviour. Unless the offender is a rock spider or rapist. Even the hardest criminals don't stand for that. Jail is the best place for the likes of them because the crims make certain real justice is served.

A few years back my daughter was in hospital and a middle aged women and her her son who was in his early twenties came to visit a relative in the next bed. The young man had severe mental disabilities and he's mum was, who looked a wreck, obviously his carer. I couldn't help but think how hard it must be for the 2 of them.
Turns out he was the victim of a cowardly punch. He and his mum lives were ruined.
The prick that did it got 12 months

Yes.
Taking a 2 meter stumble to the left once I thought my ear had been in contact with a steel bar or some hardwood bat upon turning around there was towering golliath and his merry men.
I noticed the beer on his Monaro that he thought I had left and he justified that with a big punch to the head.
Terrified ,I walked towards him yelling and throwing my arms wildly about . He was stepping backwards with his posse pushing him back towards me , it wasn't a good situation .
As I went to take the beer off his Monaro I knocked it over spilling it right over his car rolling down the window and across the bonnet towards the ground = OK now I'm dead
Something triggered in his brain, deciding against destroying me despite ALL his circling mates telling him too and pointing at all that amber juice dripping from his pride and joy
Not sure if it was the fact I confronted him and didn't fall over , the blood down the side of my head covering my white shirt or him being 10x the size of me clearly outnumbered and outgunned .I actually think in this case ( probably rare ) that this boofhead had some sort of conscience

Indeed. Taking everything from someone, their future, and getting 12 months for it. Sad.

In this case, besides the guy getting his 12 month criminal sentence, wouldn't there be some way you can get the perpetrator to foot your care bills for the rest of his life? It shouldn't be any different than having to pay alimony.

This story tops the original post. Group of three have an altercation with guys on his own, they then drive over him before a 17 girl gets out and throws a brick at his head as he lay unconscious. Lowest of the low!
