Sold 3 cars on Carsales. All have sold the first weekend.
Although they've all been small to medium Japanese cars, so it's a bit like selling a 2 bedroom unit near the train station. There's always a hundred interested buyers.
Car and values are little skewed for the general public.
Take WA at he moment, Car Auction houses are storing cars for car yards on the pretext of these being up for action, but are "NOT" and just another wing of large car yards with prices to match. Wholesalers also pulling the wool over the general publics eyes with the same ploy
So my latest discovery shows that 2011/12 Subaru Forester with 65-90k's on the clock, selling for around the $19,000-$22000 ![]()
in these so called auction and whole sale outlets.
Why would anybody (and the must be some, as they keep selling![]()
) pay this price, knowing that a car yard has to make ends meet, and would have payed some considerable amount less!!! either on a trade are deal via local Government (the Subaru's all ex Gov cars) Just crooked and inflating the price
New cars are selling for $22k-$25k with huge incentives, so why buy second hand at inflated prices.
So you want to purchase a good second hand car, at auction. Do a little homework, see what the so called auction houses have on the lot and at what price. Simple deduction will show vehicles that are sitting there for "sale", are excess stock, and car yard and reps wont bid to much on these exact same, as have overstock already. Simples ![]()
Car sales did alright by my landcruiser I sold, took a couple of weeks but did the job![]()
