Thumbs Up

Evolution comes in many ways , not all are traditionally natural . Medicine lets weaker genes breed therefore producing less healthy people . Wait till we can select our genes , that's not far away . We will be able to make our children out of a catalogue . Don't laugh , it will happen . First , just to get rid of any medical problems , then probably whatever you want or can afford.
All this is still evolution , and I think we will change a lot very quickly.

Indeed. I can't see an end to genetic modification. There's so much more to know and it bears on all aspects of our culture and society. It may be the most important area of endeavour for this century and the next.

Then there's synthetic life which, while a super impressive technical achievement, doesn't seem to have much of a future.

AI has looming possibilities. It's a little disturbing in fact. What are the implications of quantum computing (if any) wrt AI?

How about talking dogs? There would be a market for that for sure.
