Thumbs Up

Bob Askin, arguably NSW's greatest Premier, had it right when he said "run the bastards over". Sadly, we no longer have leaders like Bob. Is it any wonder the nation is down the plughole?

Thumbs Up

i was going to work very early one morning turning right waiting for the lights to change and an elderly couple were waiting at the lights and having an argument when she just stepped out in front of the only car coming the other way he had a green light she got hit and killed.
Nothing anybody could do.
Poor hubby was in massive shock as well as driver & it was a bit of a shock for me also . cops found it hard to believe what i said but everybody said the same thing .It was so weird they were waiting for the lights to change for a couple of minutes .just yelling at hubby then one step then dead.
It could have been done on purpose . That was the second pedestrian I've seen killed by a car the first was a nine year old girl she was running away from her mother & there was a hill at the pedestrian crossing and she just ran out in front of the cars nearly made it across made it through three lanes but not the last . there is now a barrier to stop the running down the hill to the crossing .
So I've been pretty strict with my kids about the dangers of cars thats for sure.
Jay walkers have never seen the tragedy of pedestrians getting killed & from my poor memory i think its one in three deaths on the roads are pedestrians.
Next time you see a jaywalker & have words just tell them that.
