15 years - be out in 5 years for the person who threw the stone.

Of course not going to happen - but it should. He could have killed the guy easily.

Attempted murder charge - why not?

I remember as kids partaking in Monday madness, where we would go wild and egg people or throw milk shakes at cyclists, or splash old ladies on the way to bingo in the puddles at the time it's just for a laugh but **** me house prices must of dropped. Mugging someone's a whole new level. Except this time my mates stole a prostitutes hand bag and ended up with a **** load of johnnys crabs and no cash !

I'd be a fan of bringing back the stocks for people of this calibre.

Then they can serve their jail term after that.

The problem in this matter, is that they are a certain minority so its our fault. Serves the bloke right for daring to sit there having a cigarette that they wanted.

Steal car, smash blokes face in, take his stuff, then steal fuel for stolen car and repeat.
No doubt it is everyone else's fault.

Its daily, this one just happened to make the news,

^^^ who said that? Who said only minorities?
Its a shame 3% of the population commits far more crime. Maybe soft sentencing (given the fact we have done to death all the prevention, hugs, counselling, diversion, assistance, free kicks, love, blah blah that we can) has a bit to do with it.

Your example only proves that PM33 has a point about light sentencing. Societal problem with social media, and boys watching hardcore porn thinking all gals are their plaything. Combined with soft sentencing.
That's what you should be harping on about, not the fact I noticed 3% are over represented in violent crime.

If it was your granddad... or your daughter raped by a FB monster...

That's a sad fact Mark.
And I know it's true .
I'm a bit surprised nobody has blamed the smoker & made it his fault yet after all he is a smoker & let's face it it's the only group of people that can be discriminated against since the nazis got into it .

It has nothing to do with minorities mark, you just like to bring it up time and time again though. I was just showing you that if you actually look, there's bad people everywhere.

Wasn't it you who claims Crolnulla was 100% the fault ONLY of racist far right Nazi farkheads?

That is ****ing idiotic.

But fk it I'll bite:

Logman what is the answer to such violent crime, and are certain groups over-represented?
You are quick to mention women are over-represented as victims of DV, so lets talk about the stats for offenders' races and socio-economic status shall we?

No insults.... just factual stuff, and a defensible position - go.

You're answering a question with a question.

I'll simplify it for you.

Its OK for you and others to mention women are over-represented as victims in domestic violence.
But it is not OK for me to mention aborigines are over-represented as offenders ... is that correct?

Next question: how do we stop the latter (if indeed they are over-represented as offenders)?

It's ok for me and others to mention women are overrepresented as victims of in domestic violence..............because that's a fact.....you're interested in facts so let's chalk that one up.

so the next issue. Are Indigenous people over represented as offenders.........personally I don't know....I would assume so. but let's see what experts say.

My best mate worked as a chippie in an Aboriginal comunity for a couple years.
we talk a lot.
I used to think I had an affectionate opinion .
Poor them , overtaking us .
Its not quite like that.
It seems to be a catastrophic sh.t fight amongst themselves and us white ghosts.
Even though I have feelings about this situation, I have no answers.
In the past there have been many techniques used and none worked.
It's a Ying yang thing .
Like mixing oil and water.

Agreed.

So is it now OK for us to talk about the rampant crime committed by a certain segment, who obviously need help and what we are doing as a society is not helping? What is also horrific is somebody will walk up to a bloke doing nothing and smash his face in for a cigarette or $10, and then not care they are on CCTV stealing fuel in a stolen car. The interesting part is not caring about the CCTV - no fear of being caught at all.
Or am I just being racist?

Well...........why would you want to divide into "segments" ........and for what purpose. If you're like Myusername and call Aborigines fxcking Cxnts then what's your agenda? Do you come to the issue of high Aboriginal crime rates in good faith then cool, but if you're going to use the crime rates as some sort of IQ/ race realism battering ram, then nuh!
Your intent is very important.

LOL.
That's up there with your most nonsensical deflective responses ever.

"Well...........why would you want to divide into "segments" ........and for what purpose."

The stats are showing the 'segments' and their proportions in relation to the topic at hand, not Mark.
