The evening is young and the beer is cold. Crack another one open and let it all flow out....

Great idea ! Are you going to watch the Perserverence landing? Like me ,onsite, next week ?

Beer is good on Mars, because extra cold there .

I heard there is big motor company that comes with idea to:

I heard a motor company puts Bridgestone tyres on their cars when they sell you the car.

They don't charge you for the tyres, just for the rest of the car. They don't sell Bridgestone tyres, they just sell cars... Cars with Bridgestone tyres on them.

They don't pay Bridgestone for the tyres, they just take them from Bridgestone for nothing when Bridgestone aren't looking.

Why should they pay Bridgestone ? They don't charge the person who buys the car for the tyres, (just for the car which is theirs) so why should they pay Bridgestone for the tyres.

If you ask the motor company what tyres are best on the car they will tell Bridgestone are best.

So they are actually doing a favour for Bridgestone. 4% of people who buy their cars go on and buy new Bridgestone tyres.

Bridgestone asked to be paid for the tyres that the motor company use. The motor company was so outraged by this request they took all the wheels off all the cars they ever sold so now nobody has Bridgestone tyres.

It is not the motor companies fault that nobody can now use their car. It is Bridgestone's.

Would you be willing to pay extra when you buy a new car for Bridgestone tyres ?

That is great news!
When you pay 3 mln for car, you have tires for free !! I wonder is spare is included or cost $500,000 extra?

Quite interesting that government organizations utilize Facebook to organize their website presence.
Whole organization and contact relationships , messaging etc is based on Facebook for free.

At old times listing at Yellow pages cost you fortunae.

But now government jump on to private company resources and use it for their own purposes.

For free. even more.
Now they request FB need to pay for privilege's of supplying free internet infrastructure to organizations.
Microsoft will ask your fortunes, bills for government organizations goes in hundreds of million dollars.

I am guessing that next step /move from smart entrepreneur ( Mr Zucker) will be requesting contracts and payments / fees from all other then
personal accounts on FB.

eBay charge you up to 10 % of the value item sold on their platform. Mr Zucker give you chance to sell for free!

Telecom ask you fortune for international calls, ( video calls never ever comes to fruition !!) Mr Zucker give you free calls.

ARE EVERYBODY AROUND NOT AWARE ABOUT BASIC FUNDAMENTAL LAW OF PHYSICS ?

Energy conservation law - nothing could be created from nothingness !!! ( beside printed fiat money of course and humans stupidity)

Bitcoin need even more energy just to exist.
Single transaction cost $10,
so when you order a beer you need to top ten bucks extra for the transaction fee. As to the Facebook interesting will be to see MenHours ( or Womenhours) lost on FB on the globe. But on another hand there is not so much people could do all the time so at least FB keep them busy.If we look at SB statistic - also sad picture appear.

5000 posts of doctor above may made somebody sick, somebody laugh, but in general this is time lost for humanity.

5304 hours spent here, didn't heal anybody or even PHD nothing.

but dont worry,
we have people that wasted double that time and computers resources and energy

My understanding is that if you have an account such as a Gov or Business account with more than 5000 friends it ISNT free. The corp will have to pay.

Is embarrassing that Google claimed that by paying for clicks it break the internet. They created that model. Now that complain when they have to do the same?

Mabee, just mabee, most people don't take an hour to post a comment here, even if it takes you that long.

LOL!

Don't be so harsh. I think we have worked out why Macro is so 'special'. according to his own post it takes him at least an hour to post a reply! An hour! You wouldn't think they would be so garbled after an hour, but hey, maybe he is learning English as he goes?

He doesn't like being proven wrong though does he. He stays on. Last time he went into a melt down and started posting a lot of inappropriate stuff, so at least we have mostly avoided that.

I think his suggestion sort of makes sense. Clearly it doesn't take me an hour to make a post, but sometimes it takes me at least that long to decode someone's gibberish that gets posted.

I think I have tried to explain Google and Facebook's ad revenue model a few times now and somehow that turns into the government charging people for Facebook Maybe I need to allocate an hour between posts to tell myself that not everyone that says they have a high IQ really has.

I thought it was too funny to be true, but I was wrong.
Planet America, ABC's weekly look at USA politics, has escaped the Facebook ban on Aus news services

Thank you for advice, mate. No offence was intended, just observation.
Because my considerations about wasted time on social networks, was just in general. Not specifically targeted on you, just served as an example. I suddenly realized that I did waste pretty much the same time as others, maybe really time to give up for me for the moment. The same calculation should apply to all FB users, We should really count energy wasted / used by computer center but rather the timemillions of people now spend behind computer.
Falsely convinced about importance of their contribution into society, since in the reality it may be completely wasted time, part of life that gone.

Now taking FN assumption that 1 post require 1 hour thinking
then multiplying by minimum wage at modest $25 per hour

I could be 5723hr x $25 = $143,075 richer ( if now wasting my time here , but making some productive contribution somewhere)

My vision is 20:20 on this.
Rupert and way back in the line "Et Al"want to be paid for their news which is dominantly behind firewalls.
Most Australians do not want to pay Rupert for his news. The easiest target with deep pockets is Facebook - Facebook says fark no and abandons news sources a lot provided by the users.
The sad thing is all the minnows on our landscape relying on Facebook to assist their business model.. Rupert has wiped their butts..

I pay for INKL which has a curation model for news but no Rupert News Corp product on-offer - too much loss of control I suppose.
I believe the ABC should offer Facebook their content in exchange for the utility ABC obtained from its services.
Not much in common with Mr Zuckerberg but on this I agree...

Cheers
AP
