On the plus side, fat floats, so at least you won't drown

Wouldn't it depend on how your fat is distributed? Fat arse and you float face down and drown. Fat boobs and belly reverses that, you float on your back until you get rescued

I thought that heart disease was the biggest killer.
plenty skinny fit healthy eating peeps die from heat disease.

I hope it is not an excuse to get fat? In relative terms, wouldn't you think overweight people suffer more from weight related health issues and deaths, as opposed to fit people who probably overdid their exercise routines, and kick the bucket?

It depends whether you have a pair of "customized" cement boots attached to you or not.

Jupiter i don't know the answer to that.
but I do know lots of non obesity people die of heartys and heartys are #1 killer in OZ.
yep some big over weight people have decisions but lots suffer thyroid mental health depression.
i know lots of peeps that smoke only to keep weight off and normal weights that have hi cholesterol
that stroke out and those peeps don't have to stand up and be counted?
end of the day everyone plays a heavy roll on medical ,,,and as you would know the biggest is aged.
i just don't think pointing the finger at fat people And blaming them totally for a &@$? Health system.
i blame our DNA.

And why's that? SUGAR!

Have you seen the difference between a human heart and that of other mammals? Trust me, we're killing ourselves.

Less processed foods is really the answer and no added SUGAR

Interlocking corporate directorships, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interlocking_directorate
The people that sit on the board of the corn products industry which makes all the corn syrup (sugar) and the sugar cane industry board also sit on the boards of the food products industries. They push to get more sugar added to nearly all food products. I mean really, is sugar necessary in potato crips? salad dressing? fish sticks? of course not but it makes food taste better so it's a race to the end.

How many 50 year old dogs do you know? It'd be a difficult comparison that one.
